We stayed two nights at the B&B and enjoyed meeting Nancy, Dirk, and their two younger daughters who were in their final year of high school. Our room was well appointed. Because there wasn't a door between the bathroom and the bedroom (which didn't bother us), Nancy offered the use of a folding screen if we wanted to use it (which we didn't). The location of the B&B was an easy walk to town, and Nancy had copies of maps and other materials about Ieper and Poperinge for us to borrow. Free parking was available on the street right in front of the B&B. Upon arrival, we were offered our choice of welcome drinks from the in-room fridge; we chose two bottles of delicious beer (Omer by Bocker). (Note: For those who have mobility issues, you might find the stairs to the second floor steep.)

Breakfasts were ample and provided a panoply of treats, many of which were locally made. Nancy even put on the cheeses little toothpick flags denoting what kind of cheeses they were. Everything was exactly as mentioned by previous reviewers, and Nancy made us eggs to order. In fact, the offerings were so ample that we spent an hour enjoying our meal! The first morning, we were the only guests, so we had the luxury of engaging Nancy in conversation and learned that she and her husband came from small villages nearby. That evening, while we were enjoying a dinner of homemade pate and other delicious items from the nearby charcuterie and bakery in the common room, we met a couple from Ghent who were checking in. They gave us some suggestions on breweries to visit on the route to and around Bouillon. Later, Dirk joined us at the table so we had a great conversation with him. On the morning, we left, we had yet another wonderful breakfast, this time joined by the Ghent couple.

Should your travels ever take you to Ieper, definitely stay at the B&B @Room's! Dankuwel, Nancy and Dirk, for your hospitality and your special gift.

We had a wonderful time staying with Nancy and Dirk. Nancy made sure we had an excellent breakfast every morning and made sure that there were many treats to choose. Our room was very comfortable and the bed excellent as we stayed five nights here. The B & B was well placed to find everything, and as we had no car, it was easy to walk everywhere. The laundromat was only about 1 1/2 k away and wonderful family owned delicatessens a few hundred metres with wonderful bakeries everywhere. The museum was less than ten minutes walk away. We are very happy we stayed here with such friendly people as Nancy and Dirk.

Room Tip: They are all great

This is the second time we have stopped and i would only travel over around Dirk and Nancy's availability. We would not stop anywhere else as any other place would just not compare to this. This time instead of going as a couple i took my son, brother and nephew so Nancy had her work cut out just to feed us. As expected she went all out to provide the most amazing selection of local, fresh produce. After eating breakfast we did not eat again until our evening meal and for 4 strapping blokes that is some accomplishment. Nancy and Dirk welcome you as friends when you stay and apart from the most stunning property to stay in, the level of service you get is second to none. If you get the chance you must give this one a visit. But be warned, nothing will compare after you have stayed here. We will be back again soon x x

The positives are the wonderful attitude of Dirk and Nancy, the location being within the walking distance of the town square and Menin Gate, the best breakfast presentation we have ever encountered and in my wife,s words " the best bed she has ever slept in ".
They truly have a beautiful home and treat their guests with attentive professionalism.
We would have liked to stay longer. If Ypres is your destination then consider Dirk and Nancy.
Thankyou both. The negatives are NIL!!!

Stayed here for a couple of nights last week....what can I say other than what a fantastic B&B. The rooms were a delight (very comfy bed) and the breakfast was wonderful (an assortment of fresh bread, fresh fruit salad, fresh orange, mixed meats, cheeses, etc, .....even a boiled egg if you wanted). Excellent location.....no more than a five minute walk to the Cloth Hall where there is a number of cafe/restaurants where you can get an excellent meal at a very affordable price. This is truly a 5 star establishment that the owners can rightly be proud off.......if we ever go back to Ieper again we shall be booking with B&B&rooms again.
