Stayed at the Ariane for two nights with my wife and two friends. I cannot fault the hotel in any way. On arrival the receptionist was both friendly and informative. Our rooms were not ready as we arrived just after midday but she was happy to take our luggage whilst we went sightseeing and gave us the directions to where we wanted to go and recommended other points of interest.
The rooms were generous, spotless and well appointed and excellent value for money and, as we had booked direct, we too were given vouchers for two complimentary drinks. A nice touch.
We ate in the renowned restaurant on our second night and can thoroughly recommend both the fish skewer and the giant meat skewer. If you haven't a particularly large appetite you might like to possibly share these dishes as it comes as a generous serving.
Ypres itself is a pretty town with an excellant Flanders Museum and, of course, the famous Menin Gate which with 50,000 names inscribed on it we found quite awsome. All in all a thoroghly enjoyable short trip and we will definately be back in the near future.

We do our best to have rooms ready for our guests' arrival, especially when they have requested an early check-in. We can never guarantee that it will be possible to have the room available before 3pm - we also have to allow for guests who wish to check out late in the morning. We are pleased that having to wait a little while for your room did not in any way detract from the enjoyment of your first day in Ieper. People who arrive early are always welcome to call first at reception to get information about the town or to use the hotel's bar and restaurant facilities, which are open from 10am for morning drinks and from 12 noon for lunch. Thanks in particular for your comments regarding your evening meal and our 'renowned' meat or fish skewers! Your praise is much appreciated by our team of talented chefs! Kind regards, the Ariane Team

My wife and I stayed at the Ariane for a week recently. All the staff are friendly and efficient from reception to restaurant to housekeeping.
Free parking was a plus for us.
The restaurant is fabulous. Beef Tenderloin, The Giant meat skewer and seafood paella were fantastic. Fine dining in all respects and a fantastic wine list.
Catered well for my Gluten Free requirements.
Would have been nice to be able to get a Cider or Bourbon at the bar.
Thanks to everyone at the Ariane for a memorable stay, keep up the good work.

We stayed here for 2 nights and found the hotel to be very good with check in easy and friendly service. We booked the hotel on their website and when we arrived for check in, we were given 2 free drinks because of this booking. This was a nice surprise.
We enquired about the Menin Gate Service and Natasha (at reception) advised us of what time we should be there and where to stand.
Our room 311 was a double room with breakfast included. The room had a queen size bed, writing desk, small table with 2 high chairs, tv, wardrobe, safe, empty mini bar for you to purchase your own goods. The bathroom is a good size with a full size bath which seems to be a bit wider than usual, shower is over the bath with a rain head shower and hand held shower, single vanity and toilet.
When we arrived in our room, it seemed a bit warm. We checked the temperature on the air conditioning control and found it to be 25. We turned it down, went out and came back to find the room still the same. We advise Natasha (reception) and she found there to be an error. The maintenance man was called and it was fixed. I found this to be excellent service.
As we went to the Menin Gate ceremony, Natasha booked us a table in the restaurant for dinner afterwards. Food and service is excellent, but you may need to book as a lot of locals dine here.
Breakfast was a high standard and consisted of cereals, fresh fruits, pastries, a coffee machine, different types of teas, boiled eggs and other hot foods. The bread was delicious – very light and all different types, just beautiful.
There is free Wi-Fi in the room and the hotel has its own large car park which is free.
The location of the hotel is an easy walk (less than 5 minutes) to the centre of town. The hotel has seen re development over the years and is in good condition and worthy of a stay in Ypres.

I stayed at the Ariane for 3 nights with my husband and our 11-year-old grandson and did not want to leave! Everything was perfect, the room, the food, the service, the facilities, I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Ypres. The location is good, not too far to walk to the main square, lovely place. Lots to do and see. Very well done to the staff of the Ariane. Can't wait to return!

Our family stayed at the Hotel Ariane in lovely Ypres. I was initially impressed at the time I booked the hotel some two months earlier as I received an e-mail to ask for the ages of our children to ensure the room had the appropriate accommodation. When we arrived it was one hour earlier than check-in but the friendly lady at the front desk informed us our room was ready already. The room was nicely organized with enough space for our family and sizable bathroom.

The location of the hotel is terrific as it off the main square so quite yet a very short walk to all the main attractions.

We received a two two drink coupons that we enjoyed that evening along with a nice dessert at the bar while watching World Cup football. This was an unexpectedly nice touch.

The breakfast the next morning was busy and a little disorganized but otherwise worthwhile with a good selection of food.

Check out was efficient and simple.

We really enjoyed the experience at the Ariane and would recommend this hotel to all.

Four of us stayed here for 3 nights last week whilst touring the battlefields of WW1.None of us had ever been to Belgium before and had chosen the hotel mainly from trip advisors reviews. Everything good that has been said about this lovely hotel is true from the really friendly staff to the very comfortable rooms, excellent buffet breakfast and beautiful garden area, where thanks to the lovely weather we were able to spend some time over a drink or snack. We had hired a car at the airport and had no trouble parking at the Ariane. We really enjoyed our stay here and would have no hesitation in returning some day.
