This is an fantastic exhibit showing the original layout, lower walls and mosaic floors of a villa that's more or less two thousand years old which is just amazing. The visitor centre is well thought out and there is plenty of information to read as you go around to help you understand what you're looking at. Do take advantage of the visitor guides at the centre who are incredibly knowledgeable ...being low season when we visited, at one point we were the only people inside and got a fantastic talk from one of the guides. One word of advice .... the temperature has to be kept fairly cold inside the centre to preserve the mosaics etc so unless you are boiling hot, do wear a coat or a jumper inside, especially if you are prone to feeling a chill.
The route around is flat so easily accessible, there are some interactive exhibits, a large shop, toilets and a tea room with both inside and outside seating. The car parking is free and there is plenty of it. There is also outside space to look at and some exhibits such as an original example of Roman underfloor heating discovered onsite.
Well worth a visit.
