Just came home from a lovely visit to Amber farm. We stayed in Elliot house.
It was fantastic, spotlessly clean and equipped with all amenities. Towels provided.
An added bonus was the hot tub which was in a private secure court yard.
Farmer Vic was fab we had a guided tour of his farm, getting up close to the animals.
I would definitely go back and stay and have recomened this to family and friends.
The setting of Amber Lodge is lovely- quiet and relaxing. We didn't have time to visit any of the many attractions nearby as we were there to visit family over Christmas, but loved the walks around the lodge. This was our 3rd stay and will definitely return in the future.
We were 7 adults and stayed for 3 nights in Amber Lodge, (wish it was longer, didn't want to leave). Extremely comfortable, everything you need, never felt so at home and relaxed. Excellent place for families and children with play park, games, football field and fun with the farm animals. The peacocks were amusing. The hot tub was just the ticket after a day out. Plenty parking space. Excellent communication from start to finish, lots of info in the bungalow regarding local area, restaurants, places to visit etc. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves thank you very much!!
It was great really enjoyed our stay, very family orientated the hot tub was a bonus. If we ever come back down this way would definitely stay here again
We stayed at Amber Lodge for a week in August. We found it very well equipped and immaculately clean. There were three files of information covering just about everything we needed to know. We did have a minor problem with the cooker controls but Vic dealt with it very quickly and efficiently.
The highlight of the week was the invitation from Farmer Vic asking the children to help him feed the animals and collect the eggs. He was incredibly patient and had a lovely manner with the children. We all loved this experience. There was ample parking space and a garden with a climbing frame and swings and a summer house with toys, including Lego to amuse the children in all weathers. There was also a children's play area on the site which we used a couple of times. We made day trips to Twycross Zoo, Wheelgate, Crich Tramway Village, Matlock Bath and Carsington Water where we did kayaking. Chilling in the hot tub in the evenings with a glass of bubbly made a fabulous end to each day.
Would highly recommend Amber Lodge.
