Description: The emphasis at "a table" is to offer contemporary French food at affordable prices. Using seasonal local produce, we ramp up the flavours, add a twist of two and a dash of fun. A table is a mixture of all of the things we love about dining out, the atmosphere, the wine, cocktails, of course the food and even down to the art on the wall which been picked from the portfolios of our favourite local artists. Whether you want a super budget set price lunch or get dolled up for our evening (a la carte menu). We pride ourselves in offering you a warm welcome, comfortable lid back service and a meal to remember.

This is the second time we have visited A'Table, we were once again made to feel extremely welcome, the food was superb, the restaurant was full and the atmosphere was excellent, we hope to return very soon.

This was the first time we had visited Hotel du Perigord since it changed hands. We had heard good reviews from friends so we thought that we would pay it a visit for Mothers Day.

It was a good job that we booked as it was full. Always a good sign.

All the staff and owners speak good French and English. Don't expect speedy service just chill out and enjoy.

As it was Mothers Day they were doing a fairly traditional menu but with their own twists. These worked very well and each course was a delight.

Thank you to Jo and Alice for a memorable occasion.

The menu was:

Smoked prawn and guacamole timbale with marie rose sauce

Spring Lamb with all the trimmings

Boursin Soufflé with pink grapefruit salsa

Strawberry shortcake

Plus wine or coffee for 70 Euros for the four of us.

We were a party of 20, so quite a challenge, but the management coped well and everything was beautifully presented. My husband had the beetroot & cucumber timbale with a jar of mackerel pâté as his starter, I had the goat cheese salad. We both had a slice of roast pork with a sauce and julienne veg on mash for our mains. Our pudding was a lemon drizzle cake served with a raspberry coulis. Bread, wine and coffee were all entirely acceptable. At this price we will definitely go again.

We reserved a table for Sunday Lunch at Hotel du Perigord last weekend and we both thought it was the best Roast we had enjoyed for many a year. Delicious garlic and tomoato soup, followed by Roast lamb or pork, with yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and three different types of veg. Followed by a cheese plate to share between us then the piece de resistance - syrup sponge with creme anglais! The price was 17.50 euro each, to include wine. Excellent food and excellent value.
We were predominantly English, but some French and Dutch. I understand the French don't like a Sunday roast as there are far too many vegetables on one plate!
