My fiance & I went to Portugal in august 2013. we visited many cities & had an amazing time. We went to B&B, big hotels ans smaller hotels. We were very happy with M'ar De Ar Aqueduto; its charming, clean and very well located. One afternoon we got back from the pool and noticed that there was an extra card in the room...we tough someone came to clean up and forgot about it. Later that night we realized that we were robbed ! Someone stole a pair of gold earrings in my travel bag....we were shocked...we never thought this would happen in this type of hotel. We went to see the manager, he was very nice. He apologized and said they would get in touch with us after watching their security camera. My fiance had to call them many times and e-mail them before we were told they would send us a cheque to cover the replacement cost....that we never got !! Now we are tired of e-mailing them and trying to get in touch with them....I guess no hotel can be 100% sure that their staff will not stole from customers...but when it happens management should deal with it professionally and efficiently which M'ar De Ar Aqueduto never did.

This hotel was great. Large and modern well equipped and comfortable room. Very nice outside pool. Hotel situated in the city but we felt we were in a retreat away from the noise of a city. We even had chairs outside our room where we could relaxed after a day of site tiuring.

Discovered by chance. Design hotel, huge rooms, very comfortable and amazing regional food. Well worth having dinner here as it is probably one of the best restaurants in Evora. One of the best hotels we stayed at in Portugal or anywhere. The value was amazing. It would be three times more expensive in London and twice as much in Barcelona.

I too was was transferred here from their sister hotel that had been overbooked.
I was fobbed off with the excuse that it was 5, not 4 star. The extra star being for the spa. I don't use spa's. I thought the original hotel looked nicer anyway.

Not much soul to the place, like a private hospital. No wifi in rooms. Restaurant mediocre, waiters inattentive.
Disturbing because I left a valuable item in the room when I checked out. I rang the hotel to ask them to retrieve it, but my request was completely dismissed. Were the 'alleged' light fingered staff complicit in this cover up?

We ended up here quite by accident when their sister hotel had overbooked our small group and we were automatically transferred.

The bedrooms are very modern and spacious with a glassed surround walk in shower and bathroom. The bar made excellent G&T's and one of our group reported a good massage in their spa. Sadly, it rained cats & dogs the night we were there, so we could not enjoy their lovely pool and garden.

I would most certainly return to this Hotel, stay 3 nights, enjoy it's facilities and explore the town of Evora.

We stayed for three days in this spa and it was excellent. Room was fantastic, with great storage, bar fridge, good TV channels, the bathroom was a dream with a choice of showers and this was also a really good size. The breakfast was first rate and had a large number of choices regardless of which country you are from. The front desk reception staff were also wonderful, very helpful, especially with tours, location of places, restaurants. Just one word of warning the hotel only recommends tours they get a commission on, and the tourist info office is useless so your best friend is trip advisor. I have no hesitation in recommending this spa/hotel to travellers for a wonderful and stress free stay. Having wi fi only In the lobby did not bother us as you can connect to a computer in the rooms. We didn't try the spa but if it is up to the standard the hotel and its employees are it would also be wonderful. Well done.

This is a new property in a very old town, but it was built with taste and style and so does not seem out of place.

The entire property feels spacious and luxurious. The rooms are large and spotless. Bathrooms are also ultramodern, with a glassed in bathtub and a separate shower.

The staff are friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool, but it looked inviting. The only downside was lack of time to enjoy the place; we were here only one night.
