Owner description: The walls and pillars of the chapel, built in the century. XVII, are lined with thousands of human bones and skulls. Ceilings with murals realtivas death. Written on a plaque next to the door, the phrase "We bones that are here for your hope", reminds us how fleeting passage through life

Don't miss this visit.
Fantastic piece of history. Creepy and poetic at the same time.
One of the most beautifull monuments in Europe!

“Astounding- Truly a MUST See”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

This relic of the Inquisition is a must see for any and everyone. A legacy of the evils religion has been capable of throughout human history. This is something you will always remember. The walls of this chapel are lined with skulls and bonces, mostly of little children entrusted to the care of the Medieval Catholic church, set into concrete. Get yourself in to see this amazing part of human history.

“Most unusual”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

This is one of the best known monuments for a reason, bones. The interior walls are covered with human skulls and bones. You realize how short people were in 16th century. The entrance reads" We, the bones that are here, await yours." The monk who is responsible for building the chapel wanted to demonstrate that life is transitory. Some people find this creepy, but all the bones were supposedly from all ready dead people. Enjoy

“Creepy, not recomended to emotional people”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Lots of real bones. If you like strange, unusual, religious place it is somewhere you must visit.
The chapel inside is quite fresh, so if you want to visit try to go at the peak of heat, stay for 20 min. Beside bones, there are two skeletons/mummies hanged on the Wall, try to know about the story of theses bodies...
Visit the church than after you may walk at the park nearby. or the market. Both this places have arqueological sight to see. So you avoid the heat peak. Near 17h go to the pastry called "Conventual" (5 min walk from the park entrance front of the big green house).
