Owner description: The walls and pillars of the chapel, built in the century. XVII, are lined with thousands of human bones and skulls. Ceilings with murals realtivas death. Written on a plaque next to the door, the phrase "We bones that are here for your hope", reminds us how fleeting passage through life

“Better than it sounds”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

When I read about this chapel in the travel guides I thought I wouldn't bother going there, as it sounded morbid. I wandered to the church next door and couldn't visit it because it there was a mass, so I went to the chapel. It was the first time I've seen such a thing, and it is probably the last, and yes, it was bad taste, especially the skeleton hanging on a wall (a spotlight lights it from time to time), but it was also fascinating to recognize the different bones in the different wall arrangements.

“Bizzare place”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Expect one room, some 25 m2, walls decorated with bones, pillars with sculls. Very bizzare. Not an everyday site you can see.

“Very interesting”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 via mobile

The chapel should not be missed. It is unfortunate that the main church that it is attached to is undergoing restoration so cannot be seen.

This was my second visit to bone church firstly in Prague
I don't like to be there long time.
Not so funny to be there and find an invitation "next is your turn"

“Small cost to enter”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

Very interesting but the church is undergoing repair work at the moment so not as accessible. We were with a guide so had lots of background information. You have to pay extra to take photos.
