We had a double room which was very small, but it was clean and a short walk (a few minutes) to the medieval walled town.
We had no problem finding a place to park and the breakfast was very good with and included fruit and meat choices.
A great value for the price.

I like Ibis because you know which standards they will use. No surprises there! This was a rather cheap room (booked and paid well in advance) but yet again for the same Ibis quality. Breakfast was rather basic but OK.

The Ibis Evora is located just outside the historic walls. It is a short walk to one of the gates of the walled town and then a walk up a slight hill to Giraldo Square. Once at the square all the sites to see are close by. The hotel has limited free parking within their fenced location and it can be difficult to get if there are a lot of guests. There is parking in the hotel for a fee. The Wi Fi works well but the rooms are so small that you need to either use your laptop in the breakfast room, lounge or outside at one of the tables.

The rooms are very small and we stayed for 2 nights. The shelf provided on the wall we used for our suitcases as there is no other space in the room for luggage. The room size is o.k.for a short stay but the temperature of the room was not. When we checked in our room must have been 30 C. I asked reception if they could turn on the A/C to our room and I was told the A/C was turned off for the entire building. It was a 25 C day so the hotel and rooms were warm.

Breakfast the first morning was disappointing as there were no staff re-filling empty plates. I had to ask for refills and even then it was hit and miss. The second morning was much better so I'm not sure if they were having staffing problems or what. Breakfast is adquate for 6 Euros and easier then heading into town and looking for a coffee and pastry.

Bottom line, this is an acceptable hotel for a night or two. Hopefully you don't arrive in between seasons and need air conditioning. If you're not fond of small rooms this would not be the hotel for you. The location is very convenient and the hotel easy to locate by car.

I loved the location( and quality of this hotel, very clean and friendly. There was only one receptionist and she was always busy, but that was the only minus. We came by car and had no problem to find hotel.

This property is just where it says it is - right across from the old city that every tourist wants to visit. We checked in early with no problem with a very helpful front desk person. The room was small but expected at an IBIS. Parking was easy and the WiFi was free. The hotel is actually entered from the back side so it can be a bit confusing finding the entrance. After passing the hotel with it being on your right, take the first road right and then take the next possible right and you will be in the parking lot. There is a sign but it is misplaced. We enjoyed walking in the area. There is a McDonald's just a short distance away if you have a desire for fast food. We opted for the breakfast which was only 6 Euro and better than most. I was delighted to be able to make my own fresh squeezed orange juice. For a one night stay, the IBIS in Evora is perfect.

Room Tip: Request room facing the parking lot, not as pretty, but quieter.

Although the rooms are on the small side and, as some reviewers have already stated, the hotel is a little dated, it has location going for it. It is right outside the city walls and you can walk in to the main square within 10 minutes.

The beds were REALLY comfy, although the room was a little hot for us. We went in early April and we could only get heat from the air-con system in the room.

Parking was just 2 euros at the hotel so it makes sense to leave the car at the hotel and walk around the town.

Breakfast was 6 euros for adult and 3 for kids.

All-in-all a good value hotel.

I spent a night at the Ibis Evora, and chose it based on the many recommendations on TripAdvisor, many of which are an accurate representation. Evora is a lovely walking city, but not so much for drivers. For this reason alone, you should consider the Ibis. It is located just outside the walls of Evora, which gives you great access to the town without the hassles of the one-way streets and parking issues.

As expected of an Ibis hotel, it presents great value with basic accommodation. This Ibis is a bit older, so the rooms and bathrooms are a bit tired and dated. The elevator is a bit slow and the underground parking lot is tight to manoeuver your car. Breakfast is a reasonable 6 Euros for a continental breakfast, but offers fresh squeezed orange, custard tarts, and cheese and ham as well. It is worth it, as there are not a lot of other breakfast options close by.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There is free wi-fi in the lobby only. Al-in-all, it is a good choice for anyone visiting Evora. I would return to the Ibis on my next visit.
