Have just returned from a two week hol at Do Parque apartments. The location is excellent, we had a top floor apartment overlooking the pool, with a fantastic view of the sea. Just out of the hotel are steps leading to the beach,
shops & restaurants.

Ohlos De Agua is lovely & the beach is great. We ate in each of the restaurants in the vicinity of the beach & enjoyed them all. Albufeira & Villamoura are both within easy reach too, we visited the old town & paid 10€ for a taxi. The airport is around 30 mins away by taxi.

We enjoyed the relaxed pace of the apartments, breakfast was served 9-11am & there was no problem getting a sunbed or umbrella whatever time you got to the pool.

The apartment was dated but large, light & airy. We found it clean when we arrived & whilst the standard of cleanliness slipped a bit during our stay, it was acceptable throughout. The air con worked well & free wifi in the rooms & around the pool was an added bonus.

Really enjoyable stay in a lovely setting.

Love this place. Friendly staff. Convenient to shops and bars. Not in the mad run of nightclubs, nice and quiet. We're here with our 2 year old and there's plenty of other couples around as well - some with and some without kids. It seems that all apartments are as good a deal as any other - ie they all have an ocean outlook - the higher you go the better the views, but the more steps you climb. We're on the ground floor and have a garden / yard but not as great a view. The whole place is angled on a westerly view so the sun sets about 8pm. Apartment itself is very neat and clean and fully stocked with towels, sheets, crokery, pots, pans, iron and board, etc etc. Wifi is free and fast. 3 Air con units in the place - although it's not hot in here. There are 1 or 2 mozzies about the place and a bloody dog that barks in a unit 100 away - but they're the only down sides. 35 transfer from airport. 9 taxi to Albufuera. Lovley place. We stayed here with our 2 year old and it's just perfect. Oh, and the cleaners come every day.

Room Tip: I think all rooms are equal - as I said in my review, the higher you go the better the view but the...

Apartamentos do parque was absulotley grotesque! When I got here I wanted to get out straight away. I had arrived in July 2014

Toilets:
The toilets was very old fashioned, and it smelt of dead people,in fact the whole house! Also there was cobwebs around the windows, FULL OF INSECTS. i felt infected, cold, sick ,trampy!
Also it was quite unsafe as there were random screws pinned in and out of the door which can hurt one of our childeren

Living room:
I'm speechless.. The dirtiness was unreal. I have never seen such a thing in my life ! I had captured mouldy parts on the walls, dirty curtains with stains, corners infested of disgusting infectious insects and also some taking a nap in our kitchen in our plates. Also insects behind the portraits and cobwebs and HUGE Spiders in the corners. Also the floor looked like public toilets not cleaned or mopped looking very sickening. I didn't even want to take my shoes off. Moving in the sofas, both were really low full of stains having one with a broken side chopped of wood and the cushions and covers ripped. I felt so sick, I didn't even want to look in or behind the sofas. Also there was one really pointless looking like a big boxed sofa which was not comfortable at all. The surface was dirty and the television too all with fingerprints. There wasn't too many plugs around for a family of four. The air conditioning was very poor too , hardly no cooling coming out.

Kitchen:
Moving on to the kitchen. It smelt so bad! Literally , it smelt like stray animals. Once again the cleaners had not bothered to clean none of it leaving stains everywhere with filthy corners of dirtiness with additional insects such as centipedes in our bowls and plates. It also did not feel that we were at home, we were even scared to touch anything. This apartment however has a very unique style in choosing of doors as they added cowboy doors which are very loud and creaky. Where is the washing machine? There is no washing machine. Terrible. What am I going to do, wash my clothes down at the beach?! Moreover cleaners do not do their job properly. They don't change the bed sheets , they don't clean the dishes, they don't clean the tables, they don't Hoover, everything looks just the same before she even touched it.

Bedroom:
The bedroom is very small stinky and hot. The air conditioning does not work. The beds are really tiny and uncomfortable . Unessacary curtains as the window is really small and high up with curtains up to the floor. Seriously? Also you cannot open it. A mirror with fingerprints all unhygienic

Garden:
The garden is quite spacious , however is f you walk around the back it looks like someone has just number 2 all over the gaff. It is infected, unhygienic , stinky with a birds nest growing. Also other visitors can see right over each others garden which is not quite good if you want some privacy . You can physically jump over to someone's without a problem. Also the table and chairs outside is dirty and looks like it's about to fall. The slide door is very old fashioned with stripped paint looking like it's about to fall down. It's very loud and creaky closing and opening it with a really heavy weight on it

Overall:
In our family's opinion we are honestly suggesting that the apartments are very terrible and unhygienic not good for family holidays, not good for anything really to be honest with you. However they have two swimming pools but I'd rather suggest to not have a dip incase the pool has been urined in or full of insects probably. However the reception is really friendly but not much staff around the building to help. Average view but with large bushes covering the sea view. It is not worth the money seriously.

Luckily for me , I had captured some shots of our "3 star " apartment. Do not stay here. I'm warning you. Thank you. A family of 4 including two children.

We have just returned from Olhos d'Agua having spent 12 days in these apartments. We read other reviews prior to going which appeared to be positive. We had a stunning view from our 1 bedroom apartment the only downside for us was we had no sun on the balcony from late afternoon onwards. Although we never used it ( never go to watch it) Alan Sugar would be delighted to know it was an Amstrad T.V. We could not fault the apartment although it was dated. If I was going to be picky- towels and bedding were not changed daily, cracked tiles in bedroom and bathroom, it could have been cleaned better But we were on holiday. We did not go on holiday to sit in the apartment. The location was excellent, we even walked along the beach to Vilamoura and back!

Room Tip: Choose a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking large pool with awning if you want a sunny balcony at night...

Sub Standard Accommodation
Large top floor 2 bedroom apartment with good views but overall first impression was disappointing. Stayed there for 10 nights in June 2014 and became thoroughly dissatisfied with the accommodation as more deficiencies came to our attention.

Cleanliness
Dirt and cobwebs found around all of the shutters in the kitchen, lounge and bedrooms. Our impression was that the place had been unused for some time and hadn't been cleaned in preparation for our visit. The kitchen shutters and the bottom cupboards in the bedrooms were especially dirty.

Decor
There were patches of exposed plaster in one of the bedrooms, rough fittings of electric cabling, and lots of old old books/magazines in cupboards with padlocked top cupboards in the front bedroom.

Furniture
The overall state of furniture and fittings was poor and the furniture was old and shabby. The sofas in the lounge were stained and unhygienic looking; we couldn't understand why the large sofa was so uncomfortable until we noticed a sheet of chipboard providing support under the cushions as the original springs/support were not functioning, we therefore had to use the dining chairs instead which began to fall apart by the time we left. The TV was old and consisted of mainly German stations with a few English language news stations. No telephone handset were provided.

Overall View
We expected and paid for 4 star accommodation via Travel Republic but was presented with sub-standard accommodation although we booked 2 months ahead. The quality of the accommodation bore no resemblance to marketing literature provided by Travel Republic or Apartment Do Parque's websites, so we cannot recommend either ( some pictures attached).

My wife and I spent March 2014 at Apartamentos do Parque being our first visit to Portugal. The entire experience was outstanding. The only down moment was leaving to go home. Based on our experience I can recommend the place without ANY hesitation whatsoever. We plan to go again in 2015.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the swimming pool area on a floor above ground level.

We have just returned from a week at Do Parque and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We were on the 2nd floor (of 3) in a 2 bed apartment. I'll list all the pros first:
Amazing sea view with sun until 8 at night, fab in May.
Large balcony with 2 sun beds, table and chairs.
Spacious apartment with each bedroom having its own bathroom.
Free wi-fi in the apartment! A must if you are travelling with older children like ours.
A short walk to the beach and restaurants, bars and 2 supermarkets.
No rush to grab a sun bed at the pool, plenty available with cushions and umbrellas.
Lovely snack bar with great lady running it and cheap too, 1.50€ for a real coffee & hot milk. Tasty sandwiches and toasters.
Ok there's a few cons:
It is a bit dated in the decor department, the bed settee in the lounge had seen better days.
The back bedroom and both bathrooms were really dark even with the light on, and the bathrooms need to be updated. However they are clean.
Crazy saloon swing doors into the kitchen area...why??
Both the pools were uncovered and unheated so were really cold - not quite as cold as the sea - but our children were reluctant to use them.

The staff are really helpful and speak good English, there's loads of books and beach stuff to borrow in reception.

We would definitely return just for that view and a really chilled out relaxing holiday.
