Jane and Stewart were the most wonderful hosts of this most peaceful and pretty villa. It was our first time as naturists and we were welcomed and made to feel at home straight away. The room we had had was very clean and prefect " red room" the pool area and gardens we're keep well manicured by Stewart, Jane was the most perfect host and amazing cook her paella night was the best, with fantastic company!
If your thinking of going don't hesitate you will have the best time ever!

Spent the second week in July in this truly relaxing location - everything has been carefully thought out by the hosts and we felt it lacked for nothing. All communications and directions from Jane were prompt and clear so we arrived in the hire car in not much over half hour from Faro airport. (We used Zitauto - we were a bit daunted by the big queue as lots of flights had arrived closely together but they had the collection system off to a fine art working from the back of a vehicle in the car park to clear the back log in very fast order and dropping the car back was a doddle.)
The very beautiful leafy garden at Casa Amarela is tended I would like to say lovingly by Stewart but I had better not as he would deny the love bit - hereinafter he is affectionately referred to as GOM. The most stunning huge palm trees stand guard and it is just a lovely chilled out place to be - I even got around to restarting yoga and one of the two friendly cats joined me for meditation! With the pool, the sauna and the hot tub all on site we hardly bothered to venture out in the day time - just a few forays to the nearby shopping centre with the rest of the time just lying in the wall to wall sunshine by the pool. The pool was a little chilly for me at first but warmed up as the week went by and at the end of our stay I was in and out frequently cooling off.
We had a room in the main house which kept very cool and had our own spacious private bathroom and separate loo - albeit not en suite. The cleaning was done every day and a pool towel provided. Very little problem with biting insects but I did burn a mossie tablet every night just in case.
Circumstances conspired so we only ate "in" once. It was our last night - a wonderful barbecue cooked to perfection by GOM with a splendid array of homemade salads by Jane - it was a feast with all drinks starters and puds included for 18 euros.
We did not use GOM's taxi service but it would have been very useful and cheap if we had not been self transporting. If you read proper books do not bother to take more than one for the plane as there is a huge selection in the hall and out by the pool. The guest kitchen was fine with drinking water provided and everything you need to prepare food. There are even cornetto style ice creams in the freezer compartment for 1 euro a time.
Nice little touches like air freshener sprays in the bathrooms and torches in the bedside tables show that a lot of thought has gone into this guest house - oh I almost forgot to mention the breakfast - substantial. Cereals, mixed fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham, chorizo and toast with a variety of spreads and your choice of eggs.
Thank you both - we will be back!

This was our third stay with Jane and Stewart in their beautiful little oasis near Albufeira. Our first time in Casa Eileen which is a lovely en-suite poolside room with just a couple of steps to the nearest sunbeds and a couple more to the pool. Perfect! Jane and Stewart are the most warm and generous hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. We spent some lovely evenings with them and the other guests either out and about or relaxing at Casa Amarela. As other reviewers have mentioned the breakfasts are gorgeous. The guest kitchen is ideal for storing those cold beers and nicely chilled bottles of vino verde as well as throwing together the occasional light meal. With a bar, hot tub and sauna what is there not to love about Casa Amarela. Our only complaint was, as usual, that our stay was over all too quickly. Until next time....

We booked and stayed at casa Amarela for 7 days and absolutely loved it.
Jane & Stewart are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble.
We walked in the gate for the first time and were totally taken aback as it's in a positively stunning setting around the pool and garden area.
The breakfast was a wide range of fresh local produce & the evening meals that Jane cooked were amazing although the guest kitchen was very equipped for the nights when we wanted something light n easy. The weekly BBQ night was a highlight with great food and company.
The hot tub & sauna were a bonus as we also spent time relaxing in both.
The nights spent socialising around the hot tub & guest bar area were memorable.
Our hosts also took us on a couple of nights out which were fab. I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful haven very close to albufeira. We will definitely be returning but for longer next time.

Spent 5 days as a last minute break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jane and Stu were excellent hosts and could do no more to make you welcome. Location is a bit out of the way so next time would take a hire car. If you don't drive Stu operates a taxi service at a reasonable cost.

This fabulous place and it's hosts, the wonderful Jane and Stewart, have become our annual escape to relax and recharge. No year is complete without at least a week of sunshine and thier company. The rural setting, tucked away from the holiday crowds but within easy reach of all amenities, this jewel in the sun allows us to tune out and truely relax - lovely room, sunbed and pool only a few steps from the guest kitchen, sauna, hot tub and outdoor bar ... with breakfasts to suit everyone and dinners by arrangement ... what more could we wish for? ... but for next years break to get here more quickly.
