Unfortunately i could only stay one night but i would have loved to spend more time there.

The family running this place comes from sweden and is very warm and welcoming. You directly feel at home. The rooms are nice and clean. Try to get one of the rooms with ocean view.
Only thing missing is an aircondition and a fridge. Thats the only reason why i dont give 5 stars.

The breakfast and afternoon cake are fantastic.

Dianamar is only a few meters from th3 main beach but nevertheless in a very quiet neighbourhood.
If i will ever go back to albufeira i will gladly stay at dianamar again.

Stayed from 17th July for 6 nights, amazing B&B. Location in old town, close to beach and short stroll to marina. Eva and Mats are wonderful people and with their hardworking staff made us feel very welcome. Had a lovely room in the front with balcony, very extensive continental breakfast and afternoon tea and cake. We enjoyed the roof terrace and the wonderful views. Transfer was arranged by the Dianamar and would definitely recommend. On arrival we were greeted by Mats who helped us with our luggage and in our room was complimentary water, sweets and a bottle of wine.
During our stay we ate a couple of evenings at the fish restaurant 50 yards down the road, A Tasquinha do Rossio. Wonderful fish platters, amazing value, but be aware you will need to book a day or so in advance. Family run and the young lady who looked after us was delightful.
Looking forward to our next stay at The Dianamar.

I'll start at the end....I found myself crying at the end of our stay with Eva and Mats because we struck up such a lovely bond with them and had such a wonderful time. If you want fancy-pants big hotel luxury this isn't for you. If, however, you want clean, simple rooms, a wonderful welcome, super fresh and home-cooked breakfasts plus cake each afternoon and a place where you make friends and feel like a grown-up....and where nothing is too much trouble, then YES, Dianamar is for you. For instance, on day one we needed to find a new battery for our camera. It turned out to be a total nuisance but Eva and Mats kindly took it on their shopping trip and had it recharged for 4 hours for us. Imagine also the day you come down to breakfast and your chef (yes, she is a highly qualified chef who knows her food) sings you a Swedish folk song because you reminded her of the lyrics. On a practical point, we had a double room at the front of the building and enjoyed peeking over at the people walking by and didn't find street noise troublesome....I barely remember any. Also, this B&B is so close to the nicest end of the beach - 3/4 mins if that - that we couldn't quite believe our luck. The value is also hard to beat. Wifi was a bit slow but, really, we were on holiday so it did us the world of good to be without it. The roof terrace is a lovely spot to chill in the evening...looking out over the rooftops and to the sea beyond. You won't find any party-ravers here either. Just a really nice mix of people who appreciate the simple things in life...such as friendship, sharing stories, trusting each other, laughter and a sense that you've truly been made to feel welcome in a very charming and special place.

Room Tip: Rooms on the very top floor have sea views and rooms at the back face away from the largely pedestri...

Having travelled across Europe, and living in England, I am familiar with the standard B&B. For the most part, stars are often awarded for cold swimming pools, televisions that go unwatched and free toiletries that you wouldn’t use - even if your life depended on it. As an admirer of home comforts and a person who travels for culture and landscape, I found Dianamar exceeded my expectations. Anybody that complains about this hotel bites the hand that feeds them. It is without a doubt a truly charming place to stay, with all the personal touches that would be expected from a close friend. The rooms are clean and tidy with all the necessities provided, and more. What large corporations neglect, Dianamar exceeds. Each room is provided with complimentary wine on arrival, an electric fan, a large cool box and a safe. Our balcony overlooked beautiful fuchsia flowers and each morning I was awoken to the sound of seagulls, rather than car horns. The hotel is ideally located for anyone who wishes to stay out of the hustle and bustle of the busy market streets, but close to the beach. However it is the owners that make the B&B. As Mats was unavailable, Eva took control of the B&B and to say that she played hostess would undervalue her. Eva personally sought to help each guest have the most enjoyable stay as was possible. Each morning she could be heard singing to her guests whilst dancing around the tables handing out breakfast. Whilst rushed off her feet she was able to assist with ordering taxis, putting together picnic baskets and advising her guests on the local cuisine. Having received a warm welcome on arrival, it goes without saying that Eva made sure that the departure went smoothly, hugging us as we left in the taxi. I can’t imagine why anyone would have anything bad to say about this B&B, if you’re looking for a small-scale holiday destination that prides itself on hospitality, Dianamar is the place for you.

Stayed here in Juli and were treated very badly by the staff. If you book in advance you have to pay for the two first nights and then you pay when you leave after your visit. We didnt like the town nor the very squeaky beds. The hostess made so much noise in the morning that its impossible to get a good night sleep if you live on the first two floors.
Because we were displeased with the town and the trouble with sleeping we decided to leave a couple of days early. When we told the hostess she started yelling at us and calling us names, and it looks like more people have experienced this.
It is impossible to recommend this B&B becouse of the beds and the bad service and overall attitude of the staff, especially the hostess, who is also one of the owners.

It's a clean and central b&b if you wanna stay in the [--] town of albuferia (think mallorca, grand canaria style) but the owners are mad and hostile and know nothing about service. We decided to cancel our remaining nights and the lady started to scream and called us bad names, not a pleasant experience. The bed is rock solid and makes the sound of a cat getting strangled every time you move in it. If you are planning on sleeping in, forget about it. The hallway and the stairs to the rooms makes A LOT of noice and are really squeaky so it will keep you awake from 7 in the morning. Would never stay here again.

We had 6 couples stay in 3 rooms and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Eva and Mat are fantastic hosts and provide everything that you need. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and some sweets with breakfast being the best hotel breakfast I have had in Europe. Afternoon tea is also a hit with coffee and sometimes homemade cake! The location is perfect, right next to town and the beach, but not where the craziness is. There are also beach gear available at the hotel with the option of having a picnic basket prepared for you if you wish.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here!
