“Great Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 May 2014

We stayed at the Sereia da Oura for 10 daysin April / May 2014 . It is great value for money, with a great location! On arrival Bruno helped us to our room , the place was spotlessly clean and we were suprised with all the facilities included in our room, i.e. oven, washing machine. The hotel is less than a ten minute walk to the strip, and about 25 to the old town. There is a road train that stops a few minutes away from the hotel that we used to get to the old town and other places in Albufeira as it is very cheap for a day ticket! The pool area was always kept clean and there were plenty of sunloungers. Bruno went the extra mile for us, I would definately recommend this hotel as it was vert quiet and the Cheers bar below the apts was great for meeting fellow guests and th beer was 1.5 Euro a pint we enjoyed our holiday and would go back as Albufeira is very cheap to eat and have drinks and the weather was fantastic

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view ad they are to the back of the complex

we stayed for six nights with friends. we arrived after 11 pm but a really friendly chap met us and showed us to our rooms which were side by side as requested. rooms are great with plenty of room and storage. yes a little dated but given the location and the fact they are so well equipped we were more than happy considering the price. bruno does a fantastic job making visitors feel at home and couldnt be more helpful. booking trips, finding out information and just making you feel so looked after. the pool area is lovely and very clean as is everywhere. cheers is a great place to have breakfast or a snack and really good for the evening too.five minutes gets you on the strip or oura beach and around 15 mins the other way gets you to the old town. taxis back at night cost around 4.75. we will definately use this lovely place again and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: front looking across from of cheers and great indian restaurant

We stayed at the Sereia da Oura for 3 nights in April 2014 as a last minute get away. It is great value for money, with a great location! On arrival Bruno helped us to our room and gave us the wifi password, the place was spotlessly clean and we were suprised with all the facilities included in our room, i.e. oven, washing machine. Bruno went the extra mile for us, I would definantly recommend this hotel and a trip to Zoomarine!

Room Tip: We state on road side, room 202 and it was perfect

We just got back from Sereia da Oura a few days ago. One of the most relaxing holiday we had!
We stayed there during Easter school break for 5 nights.

Before I start writing about the apartment, I just wanted to say all the staff there were very friendly and helpful, especially Bruno, he was fantastic! Even though the reception meant to close at 7pm, he was there to greet us at 8pm when we arrived. (I emailed him that morning before we set off.)
He helped us to get the luggage upstairs and showed us our apartments.

We had booked two apartments with BA as it worked out cheaper that way which was very weird but there you go. We had a studio apartment and a one bedroom apartment. Basically all studio apartments are on the top floor and the one bedroom ones are below it. So we couldn't get them next to each other but it was fine. We all (2 adults and 1child) stayed in the one bedroom apartment and use the studio apartment to cook and shower (to maximise the two apartments!) To be honest, I couldn't tell you which one is better, the studio one was a little bit more updated (ie curtains) while the one bedroom apartment had 2 sofa beds and a bedroom with a double. Both types apartment was very clean and spaceous with a flat screen TV. I can see why people stay there for a month or more!

The only difference between the two types of apartment in the kitchen was the an oven and a washing machine which was quite handy for washing swimwear and towels. You can hang the clothes outside the apartment and it dries in a couple of hours!

The pool was very cold when we were there, the loungers were fairly busy but still have spaces whenever we went. The snack/ drinks bar wasn't opened for the season when we were there but easy enough to get it from the apartment!

There are a few places to eat next to the apartments, the cheers bar is great for breakfast! Small full english breakfast is massive! There's free wifi there too, just ask the owner Victor, he was very friendly. There's free wifi in the reception area too in the apartments. Just ask Bruno for the password.

The location was fantastic, less than 10 mins to The Strip in the new town. It a slightly longer walk downhill to the old town, 20-25 mins but it was a very pleasant walk. However we did get the taxi back which only costed less than 5 euros. I would recommend to get an all day train pass if you don't want to walk, it's only 4 euro per adult and 3 euros for 6+yrs . There's a bus stop a few mins walk from the apartments, so very handy.

It is definitely worth going to the old town as it has more character and that side of the beach had
taps to wash the sand off which was handy. The strip in town had lots of bars and places to eat and shops to buy bits and pieces. Our train went past there at night time around 10.30ish and it was extremly busy.

There are a couple of beach near the apartments, we only went to one of them and it takes around 10-15 mins to walk there, so it's not far at all.

Finally I just want to thank Bruno and the rest of the team for being so friendly and helpful. It had made our holiday extra relaxed! :)

I would definitely recommend this place to stay!

Room Tip: The pool view is quieter but no sun in the balcony. So depends on what you want.

Stayed here March 2014. Bruno and his team, Abillio, Cecilia and Christina keep the cleanest, friendliest apartments we have ever used. Cecilia come to my home and clean!!!!!!!!!!!! We stayed in Apt 210 with one bedroom separate kitchen and living room. Balcony overlooking pool. Shady, which would be helpful in summer. We had free heating/aircon, also free safe. Kitchen, double sink, big fridge and freezer, four ring hob and grill/oven plus washing machine! New ironing board and new iron. Spacious apt with separate dining table, two settees and more storage than you could possibly need. Beds (twins) firm but comfortable. Good library. Whilst there satellite tv coverage bbc and itv was lost over Portugal and spain. However Bruno got a very buy man to alter the aerials and we had bbc and itv for the last week (plus usual skye nd ccn) Not all complexes got reception back. We hope to go back next year.

Room Tip: Second floor overlooking pool is quiet but shady.
