Just back from Portugal and found it expensive to eat out. We decided to go to All Joy one evening as it had come highly recommended by this website. As we approached the restaurant, there was a man outside dressed very casually (jeans and polo shirt) trying to persuade us to go into All Joy, we told him that that's where we were headed for but wanted to see the menu first. I told him, after browsing the menu, that it was very expensive and there was no kids menu, we had a child with us. Eventually we agreed to have a look and I must say, the decor was lovely, but nothing I haven't seen back at home. He told us he would give us all of the beer, soft drinks and wine free so we decided to stay. The steak was very nice, but again, nothing I haven't eaten back in Cork, no kids menu, just half portions. The manager we had spoken to outside came to us a few times. Now, he was a very good salesman, but very dressed down for such an upmarket place, His main selling point all night was how nice the decor was and that the owner was a 'football player' I have never heard of. I think the food was lovely but I wouldn't go there again. Too pricy and definately not for kids.
