Hi I would like to start by saying I am 26years old, as is my girlfriend. These apartments really are immaculate, easily the most modern we've ever stopped in. The rooms have a large living area with a large leather 2 seater couch, one seater arm chair, plasma tv and coffee table. There is an open plan kitchen with electric hobs (no oven however), microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, large storage cupboards and all cutlery etc thats needed. Bathroom is also modern in design with everything thats expected in their. Bedrooms have large built in sliding cupboard with plenty of storage. Only thing I could complain about (and its me being picky) is the fact they class a double bed as two singles pushed together, which do not stay pushed together if you try to cross over to eachothers half ha! Also my girlfriend has just informed me that the lighting in the apatment is very bad for doing your make-up as it is all spot lighting, however this does give a very modern feel. The apartment also has a large balcony area with modern table and 4 chairs. The hotel also has its own restaurant however we did not use it so cannot comment on it.
The hotel has got two pools (ones a childrens) and plenty of beds, parasols and chairs, and has a pool bar that does drinks and food at a fairly reasonable price (2 euros a pint). The only thing I would say in my opinion is that the pool area was a bit quiet for our taste as there was no music and no entertainment and not a lot going on, however I am aware that some people will like this.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, literally 3minutes walk to the 'strip' or new town, where there are lots of bars and some decent restaurants, about 20minutes walk to the old town, which is probably slightly more appealing for people looking for a meal and a few quiter drinks (we did a night at the new town, then the old town every other night, and enjoyed them both as much as the other).
The hotel is also located pretty centrally between two beaches, both of which are lovely! turn right out of the hotel to get to one, and left for the other and follow the signs.
We really enjoyed our stay here I would definately go back as we only paid about £550 between us for a week. We found portugal very reasonably priced, with nice food, cheap dink and lovely people. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel.

The apartments were a high standard and very comfortable. We went with two young children and another family with a teenager and a young child. The complex catered for all of us. The small pool is perfect for little ones. It felt very safe and young explorers could not venture too far. The hotel staff were very helpful although we had conflicting information at times. For example, we were told the land train would stop by the restaurant 'hot spot' but it doesn't (you have to go to the main strip). There are a couple of local shops but beware, they are very expensive. Local bread is lovely. For shopping you need to go to one of the bigger supermarkets (worth getting a taxi there and back and then making use of the local shops for everyday supplies). Would highly recommend 'Clay Oven' and 'Big Shanghai' for Indian and Chinese - both offer a takeaway service and are within walking distance (20 mins each way although you can get a taxi there / back for around 4-5 euros each way). Areias has a bar by the pool which is very nice but again, quite expensive. There is a restaurant just opposite the complex and the breakfast there is superb . There is a nightclub opposite which can make some noise during the night but not enough to spoil the holiday. Shut the windows and turn on the air conditioning! There is a maid service changing towels and a basic clean each day - except Sunday- but the times they come are very variable. All in all, a fantastic time was had by everyone and we would definately go back.

Just spent a week at the Areias and overall it was a good experience.

The rooms are big enough for a family of 4, two single beds pushed together in the bedroom and a 2 piece sofabed in the lounge. The sofa was the most comfortable of the 4.

You got AC in both the lounge and bedrooms.

The Kitchen facilities are a bit limited, you get a 4 hob electric oven, enough plates and cutlery, but only 6 wine glasses, no tumblers. Also, there were only 3 pans, 1 saucepan, 1 frying pan and 1 kettle. There is also a frindge (with tiny freezer compartment) microwave, but no oven, nor was there a juicer like some other poster had.

We had a late flight home and the Hotel policy is to check out at 11:00am, this wasnt so bad as the Hotel has a room by reception where you can dump your bags while you enjoy your last day.

The only issue I had was that the noise from the other apartments can be very intrusive. I had requested a top floor room at the time of booking (Jan 2010), but they seemed unable or unwilling to accomodate this, so ended up with a first floor room and probably the worst first night sleep ever thanks to a loud family next door talking and arguing until 2am, then a young group of lads upstairs who arrived at 5am and proceeded to scrape chairs and make hell of a racket until 7am. Thankfully, it was both their last night at the place and the rest of the stay was relatively quiet. helped by me using earplugs at night.

The noise of furniture scraping does really travel in this place.

I had a pool facing view, which also faces the Kiss nightclub, but I did not notice any noise from the nightclub at all.

My partner and i very recently stayed at this hotel, and we had pretty much no complaints, the staff very friendly and polite, the rooms were nice and clean, and comfortable. One thing was that instead of a double bed there were two single bed's pushed together which was a bit disappointing!

The location is very good. Ignore previous reviews complaining about the noise, there was a kiss nightclub just across the road, but it was open maybe twice in the whole 7 days we were there and the noise wasn't too bad. The strip is worth a look, lots of nice places to eat, and little shops to visit, altho it is rather touristy, which is fine unless you were looking for something more traditional.

We also found taking a taxi into old town was an enjoyable experience and only cost around 4 euros. There is also a beach which is about ten minutes walk away from the hotel, its called Praia Da Oura, and is at the bottom of a steep hill but well worth the walk.

So overall the hotel was nice and clean, the rooms were comfortable, and we had everything we needed, fresh towels every two - three days. The hotel restaurant was not too bad either, and relaxing by the pool provided a days worth of entertainment. The rooms were air conditioned which was very useful, and made sleeping very easy .

I would recommend this hotel to other people. Was all in all a fantastic holiday . :)

This hotel lives up to all we had read on previous tripadvisor reviews. The location of the hotel is far enough way from the Albufeira strip that you are not bothered by it but close enough that you can walk to all the shops/bars/restaurants in around 5mins. The room was clean, airy and a nice size with a nice spacious balcony. The pool area was well maintained and there was always enough sunbeds. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the biggest supermarket is a 10-15 min walk away, but there is a small shop just across the road for all the essentials.
