Clean. Good selection at breakfast with hot and cold buffet......including salmon and fresh fruit selection. Seaviews excellent from dining room and sea facing rooms. Staff friendly and helpful.
Always willing to deal with requests too. We loved the quirkiness too. Guests were ace ...such laughs and even the antics of the drunk bar man added to the experience. This is 3 star...and we loved it. Not sure how sunbeds and parasols will go round for everyone in high season though by the pool. Hotel is at top of slopes etc but there is a bus stop close by. Not too far from new marina either ...and near enogh the busy streets of albuferia yet jst enogh distance away for the peace and tranquility if you want to laze by the pool. Low key live eveing entertainment was lovely as were the free snack time and the free fizz welcome drink evening. Thanks too to the liverpudlian two...and the vodka lady....just to mention a few.... For adding to a brill time!!!

Room Tip: 3 rd floor fine....and when it says twin beds...that is what you get.....ours were very comfy...

We had a great week on our first trip to Portugal and made a great choice of hotel. Built in 1962, it is dated and needs refurbishment in places but we found it very comfortable and suited to our needs. The rooms are quiet and clean and the sea views are stunning, the entertainment was provided by nesting gulls on all the roof tops and the fledging of the young!
We stayed on a B & B basis and found the breakfast to be superb. Smoked Salmon & scrambled eggs, lovely, and Buck's Fizz if you want it. We did not eat there in the evening, with so many good restaurants nearby why would you.
The bar was nice for an evening drink on the return from dinner and the company was delightful. The addition of the permanently drunk barman added character and gave us all a good laugh, it must have cost the hotel a fortune though because despite all our best efforts he was unable to get the bills right. First class fun!
The situation is perfect, a 5 minute down a steep hill to the stunning beach - don't get the sun beds, they are 15E per day and you can buy your own cheaper and leave them when you go home. Another 5 minute stroll away from the hotel is old Albufeira which is beautiful and full of nice restaurants, quite lively but the real noisy part is well away so you can still be civilised. About 10 minutes in the opposite direction is the harbour and marina, beautiful.
Overall, apart from a couple of niggles this was a perfect place for us and we shall definitely return next year. Thank you Boa Vista

Room Tip: Don't go for rooms on the lower 2 floors, behind the swimming pool

A little outdated but decent facilities. Very clean. Friendly staff and good service. Hotel food is hotel food-they tried but didn't quite hit the mark-does anybody really eat frozen vegetables?? Very nice touches such as the free fizz by the pool, 5pm snack and pianist and traditional Fado. Good location very peaceful but remember Albufeira is hilly so quite a climb up. There is a mini bus service around the town which may help. Would stay again but maybe not eat in

This hotel is indeed a 3* hotel, we really enjoyed our stay and our room on the 3rd floor was perfectly comfortable if a little worn. The breakfast was outstanding five different sorts of bread, five difference fresh fruits, tea, coffee and hot choc as well as a glass of sparkling wine for those who enjoy this. My husband enjoyed smoked salmon and scrambled eggs the list is endless. However the dinners were excellent and average there was no in-between and at the end of our stay the a la carte dinner became disappointing buffet. The cost for those who are not on half board was E17.50. The staff are hard working and kindly. Too many things need an update. BUT this did not spoil our celebration week in Albufeira. In fact the games room and library is charming, the reception area, wonderful, the views outstanding and the peace something that would charm any visiter to Albufeira. I would say to anyone contemplating staying here. GO!! It really is brilliant to be away from the strip and bustle.

Room Tip: Stipulate room with sea view and 3rd floor (or higher if funds allow)

Great location close enough to beach and town centre, but far enough away from the noise. Room 12 great large room and bathroom, but no hot water, barely lukewarm. Moved to room 12- much better, however five days into our stay restaurant/bar staff decide to whack music up so loud unbearable most of the one day (Tuesday), then around 7am Wednesday here we go again. Only so many times you can listen to the same tracks ( on a loop). Shame as hotel chosen as adults only and was initially peaceful and relaxed. Although service very good and reasonable for the price paid. Spa facilities far too expensive, used a nearby hotel, Rocamar Exclusive Hotel & Spa, which was modern and prices half what Boavista charge. Beds quite uncomfortable as sprung, but you get use to it!? Problems with the two lifts, so maybe troublesome for those with mobility
problems as reception on first floor, restaurant, bar and pool on the first. Buffet breakfast very good, fresh fruit etc., provided. Bar area has the ambiance of a working men's social club.
No coffee/tea making facilities provided in our room, and the fridge was locked so couldn't be used for your own purchases.
This is not a modern hotel and it's 4 star rating doesn't reflect my experience, and having lunched or dined at other hotels nearby.

Room Tip: Floors 3 & 4 probably better regarding sound from the bar.

We enjoyed our week stay, very friendly staff, perfect location for us. Very good breakfast buffet
We got what we paid for. Our room was on the 2nd floor but if you are higher there is a better view over the bay.

Room Tip: The higher you are the better the view.

Just come back from a relaxing break at the Belver Boa Vista, staff very helpful and friendly we were given the wrong room on the first night, no problem went to reception the next day and the lovely Juan sorted everything out and upgraded us to the 5th floor fantastic room wonderful views even bathrobes at no extra charge. Breakfast very nice lots of choice our room and the hotel itself spotless. Try and get to David’s bar turn right out of hotel to the bottom of the road cross over at the junction(the street with the Indian restaurant at the top of it) It’s the smallest bar ever, don’t be put off by appearances have a beer and the best garlic tiger prawns ever!

Room Tip: Try and get a fifth floor room, as a treat. The rooms are very spacious and the views are fantastic...
