Went to this restaurant after reading other reviews.
After eating Asian cuisine at home in Worcester and Birmingham I have been spoilt.
Because of this I have always been sceptical of eating in holiday resorts.
I am so pleased I did, this meal was up there as the best I have ever had.
This is a very nice place run by truly wonderful people, the food is an absolute delight.
If you are in the Olhus de Agua area it would be a crime not to eat there.

Thank Nevcole

Having read good reviews we decided to try out O Licorne as it was a short drive from our hotel. We were the first customers of the evening, having two young children and hence dining early. First of all the restaurant is actually a villa that is a bit hidden up a small road just outside Olhos de Agua. There is a large sign on the main road so its not hard to find.

The food was fantastic, piping hot and nicely presented. They are very child friendly and offered to make mild versions of any of the curries on the menu for the kids. There are some nice chairs to relax in outside and also a small area inside the restaurant. Our kids ended up playing with the owners daughter and then sitting on the sofa and watching a film on her iPad.

If you like Indian food then you won't be disappointed. Prices are reasonable but not the cheapest - but you get what you pay for and this place will beat any average uk curry house. As with many restaurants in the Algarve it was cash only !

Great ambience, rustic charm and tasty food, what more could you ask for ?

A little off the beaten track but still within walking distance of Olhos town centre for example not much more than a 10 min walk from the post office. It has a very Portuguese look about the place but the food provided is very much authentic Indian cuisine. Our host & waitress for the evening was called Brity & the service she provided was excellent without being over bearing. The food was of a high standard with very fresh tasting ingredients. My husband & I asked if they had a mixed meat kebab starter for two as we couldn't see this on the menu & we were told this wasn't a problem to make. Glad we asked as it was delicious with a mixture of very moist chicken, lamb & kofte meats. Our mains were lamb bhuna, rice & nan bread, again delicious & bursting with fresh herbs & spices. Our bill came to a little less than 50 euros which included a drink each so very reasonable. We will definitely return for both a sit in & take away meal. Happy to recommend this restaurant & urge you to try it, you won't be disappointed.

We visited this restaurant during our recent trip to Olhos D'Agua, having seen the sign from the main road. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic. We had a lamb madras and chicken dhansak. We are 'curry heads' and love to visit new restaurants where ever we go. This rates up there with the best we have visited. It's a pity it's so far away from home!
The service and ambience of the small restaurant was brilliant. We sat outside on the terrace as the sun went down and it was just wonderful - so much so that we just had to go again 4 days later.
There were several other people there when we visited, so hopefully the news is spreading as it is on it's own, on the way out of Olhos D'Agua (towards Vilamoura) so unless you go looking for it, you are not likely just to stumble on it.
