We ate here for dinner on Friday 28th March, and overall had a pleasant evening.
Food-wise, the starter of stuffed peppers was really tasty and enjoyed by us both. Not the best quality beef mince inside (rather fatty), but tasty not the less.
For our mains, we ordered the beef burrito and chicken enchilada.
Neither were remotely 'traditional' (if memory serves correctly, they claimed to be so on the menu).
The burrito had been baked in the oven and cheese melted on top (as an enchilada should be!). In addition, the rice etc was outside the burrito. More a beef wrap than a burrito! Not traditional in terms of any other 'Mexican' restaurant anywhere else in the world we've ever been to.
With the enchilada, there was no cheese on the outside, it had not been baked in the oven, and there was some dodgy creamy sauce on top - not quite sour cream, not quite a sauce. Not as described on the menu!
I'm open to trying new things, and generally enjoy when restaurants serve their own interpretation of a popular dish - however, the mains just didn't seem quite right. Neither myself nor my partner particularly enjoyed our main course.
The service was OK, the staff were rather interested in talking to one another and we had a lengthy wait for the plates to be cleared and the bill brought to us. When the staff did interact, however, they were polite and helpful, however - so no big issue.
Despite the main courses not being brilliant, they weren't bad and the starter was enjoyable. Gievn the good location and wide choice of dishes on the menu, we may visit when next in Albufeira and sample something else on the menu.
