Just home from our 9 night stay in this hotel. We arrived late at night so all we wanted to do was sleep. We were given the key to room 124 which is located on the first floor which in my opinion is very dorm like. When booking i booked a double room but we were placed in a twin room which was very unclean. My partner informed the man at reception that we booked a double room but he was told we couldnt change rooms for 3 days but we said find despite the 3 day delay.. Moving day came and we were moved to room 354 which was like stepping into a completely different room. The room was much bigger, cleaner amd more comfortable. We were unfortunately asked to pay an extra €50 for this room which we refused to pay.. Breakfast was fine no complaints. Staff not very friendly. Noise is just unbelieveable ear plugs a must even if its a pool facing room which we had. Wouldnt stay in this hotel again as the location is terrible, found this area to be very rough at night alot of police presence especially outside the hotel every night.

Checked in here 2 days ago by 1 of the rudest people I've come across in my life. The 2 main reasons for booking this hotel were as per their ebrochure, they have a kids club and they are located across from a beach - both of which are untrue. When I asked at reception about the kids club, I was told it was closed and if I wasn't happy, I could go somewhere else. The beach is located at the bottom of a step hill - definitely not across the road from the hotel. The room is filthy, I had to find a supermarket and buy a mop, disinfectant and cleaning products. No cot was provided either as requested. No hair dryers or other basic facilities are offered. I cannot believe I wasted our holiday fund on this hotel. My Son is bored and our holiday is ruined.

Room Tip: Book another hotel if you can but if it's too late, ensure you get a pool side room

My husband and I and another couple have just arrived home from our holiday in Albufeira and I am compelled to write this review. This hotel is in an appalling state of disrepair and neglect. Once you leave the very tasteful foyer it's all downhill. The rooms are shabby and extremely dated. The beds were like mortuary slabs with pillows half the size of a normal pillow. The door frame was falling apart and the tap in the bathroom wouldn't turn off. The remote control for the TV didn't work the list is endless. We had requested a pool view, which they didn't have or at least they wanted €7.50 a night extra yet, our friends did get the room requested, this meant that we were facing the street and had to endure the noise until 5:00am every morning. Outside there were only 10 umbrellas to about 30 beds, paving around the pool was cracked and broken and a definite hazard, there were square tiled tables which all had cracked and broken tiles again not very safe. The steps into the pool were very shaky and felt like they would come away at any time. We did have breakfast one morning which was dreadful and it was far more preferable to eat out. The thing which made me most angry about this terrible hotel is the lack of any type of service, asking for a tea or coffee tended to incite the reply 'no tea' or 'no cream for coffee' there was a general apathy about the staff (there were not enough staff which I think attributed to this). There was a lovely bar but it didn't open till late in the evening. To my mind a hotel should have a working bar at all times where you can chill out with a beer or a coffee whenever you feel like it (apart from pool bar). At €100 per night I would have expected a lot more from any hotel. Of course the location is great and when the bar was open the barman was very nice but that in no way compensates for the poor service and sorry state of Hotel Aldeia.

Room Tip: Don't book Hotel Aldeia!

Myself and a friend stayed in this hotel at the start of July this year. The hotel was basic but clean and all that we needed for this type of trip. We booked very last minute and stayed bed and breakfast for 4 nights. The pool was nice and there were plenty I sun loungers. It seemed to get cleaned every evening, which was good. The rooms were basic but clean. From the outside the hotel looks slightly run down but is in the process f getting its balconies replaced so once that's done and hopefully painted it will look a lot better. The breakfast was not a huge choice but was enough to fill you up until lunch. The hotel is basically on the strip and we had a street facing room, which is really noisy until about 5/6am but great for people watching. Hotel is very close to everything and great for a short, cheap and cheerful stay when you want to be close to everything going on.

poolside room is the only room to have.Unless you like very, very loud music until 4 in the morning!
Food very basic. Eat it or eat out. Eating out is by far the better option,
I first visited this Hotel some 30 years ago because then television in room seemed appealing. 30 years later...same televisions. Sattelite television? Sky news or portugese programmes.
Pool. Surrounded by sorry sun beds also very odd tiled concrete blocks as tables. most of these blocks have chipped tiles on the corners, very dangerous for children.
Arrived 8 in the evening to very unwelcoming reception staff. "Welcome to the Hotel Aldeia"
would hve been nice. This Hotel is overated at 3 stars.

Room Tip: Find another hotel!

I came with 2 friends, we are all 22 so up for the lively night life. We had a strip view room which was loud but not a problem for us. When we initially arrived the room was not cleaned well. There were cigarette ends on the balcony, dirt on the bathroom floor etc. The plug in the sink was stuck so the water took a long time to drain. But the major problem was that there were only 2 beds. We booked a double/twin room for 3 people so expected either 2 single beds and a camp bed or a double bed and a camp bed. We went to the reception and they said they would sort this problem while we were out. We arrived back at the hotel 2 hours later around 11pm and nothing had been done. We agreed that we would make do for tonight but tomorrow it needed sorting. In the morning we went to the reception. The receptionist was not understanding when we explained that there would be no room in that room for another bed as it would block the balcony door and we would not be able to have a bed side cabinate fit either. I had to go back twice as the receptionist was quite dismissive explaining that it was not her fault it was the travel agents and that there were no rooms free. This was very frustrating bit after persistence we got moved to a larger room with 3 beds. The room was tidied daily but the towels were not changed regularly when they were dirty (even if they were left in the bath) Breakfast was basic and perfectly fine but was the same 6/7 days that we were there. Outside or balcony was a meter high pile of rubble which wasn't great to look at. There were plenty of sunbeds by the pool which was great, the poolside surface was old, slabs were cracked and it wasn't the safest and on our first day we couldn't use the pool until after 11 as it was being cleaned. I wouldn't go back to this hotel or recommend it purely because of the room issue but it didn't ruin our holiday.

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and if you want a hotel in the middle of the nightlife this is it.
The hotel is clean and check in was fine with someone showing us to our room (if you want a tip make sure you book a pool view room if you want sleep at night) pool area great very spacious and has a pool bar ,breakfast is not great but it is a edible, what sells this hotel is its location as its situated right in the middle of the strip so you don't have far to stagger home.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room if you want any sleep
