Just returned from a 1 week stay here. The beds are absolutely disgusting mattresses and bases are very badly stained. We asked for replacements and were told they had none. The boiled eggs on the breakfast were black and the toaster took about 15 minutes to do the toast. On the plus side the location is great. If you are booking trips don't book through the hotel, there are a few ticket shops around that provide the same trips at half the price.

Room Tip: ask for a pool view, if you get a room facing the strip don't expect any sleep before 4am.

We have just returned from a 9 day stay in this "hotel".

The whole place is in need of a major refurbishment, the staff, although outwardly friendly, are absolutely useless!

We were booked on a bed and breakfast basis (thank god we didn't have half board!) - I can quite honestly say that the "breakfast" was the worst meal I have ever experienced and the serving of same was complete chaos.

A combination of COLD baked beans, sausages or bacon with either a boiled egg or scrambled egg - not once during our stay did this combination arrive at the same time - you could guarantee that if the sausages arrived, the eggs wouldn't!

Once you had secured what was available from the above, you then had to secure a cup and cutlery, you then had to fight your way around the dining area to find a table which was not laden with dirty crockery/cutlery.

A member of staff was seen with a trolley clearing tables - at the speed he was moving, he could be finished by christmas!!

Our patience exhausted we complained - after three days the manager met with us and agreed to a partial refund.

Had we not paid in advance, we would have left the hotel after the first day.

Room Tip: Don't book

Just back from 7 nights half board. Room was clean, as was the linen. Balcony had new glass railing so was very safe. Air con worked. staff friendly. Breakfast was both cooked or continental. Cooked was bacon or sausages, eggs - scrambled or boiled, and beans. Basic but did the job. Cold meat, cheese, lots of breads, yoghurt, fruits. Tea and coffee. Toaster. Evening meal was again a mix of cold salads or cooked. Chicken, pork, lamb chops (the best), and chips, rice or pasta. Drawbacks? They didn't serve drinks with the evening meal so we took a bottle of water in with us, others brought beer and wine from the bar in the next room. One couple we spoke with had a room overloking the strip on the first night. Music till 4am so manager changed them to a pool view for the next night. No problem.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view to ensure a good night's sleep, unless you are out climbing all night then it doesn't matter.

After reading the reviews on here and only paying £135 for the week I wasnt expecting much to be honest but we chose to go for a cheap quick get away. When booking the room we chose the roadside view as thats all we could afford, after doing research I found out that it was probably gonna be quite loud but as we didnt pay much I wasnt gonna complain and took some ear plugs with me. Upon arriving at the hotel I spoke to the LOVELY lady Suzanna on reception and asked how much it would be to upgrade to a pool view room (it was just for interest really as I knew we could afford it) she said 70 euros so I said oh ok we cant afford that no problem, she then offered us a pool view room at NO extra cost if we just stayed in one of their apartment rooms for the night then tomorrow we could have the pool view room so of course we jumped at is. The pool view room was FANTASTIC, great views, nice and clean (fresh towels every day, bins emptied everyday, bed made every day and sheets cleaned twice). Then I read the reviews about the pool being unclean, well what a load of rubbish, it was very clean when was was there infact I saw someone cleaning it every day. The bar staff were VERY friendly, the drinks were nice, reception helped us out with drections to places. We didnt have any complaints and we would go again and pay more!!!! The people who do complain are such snobs! Well they must be, you get what you pay for guys, look @ the area before you go, and If you dont want noise dont book on the street view, its not rocket science is it. I suggest all the people who have made negative reviews get saving up for you very expensive 5 star hotels and stop whinging!!!

Room Tip: Pool side room =) if you can afford it.......

Excellent location right on the 'montechoro srtip' close by to many shops, bars & restaurants .
Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful.
Rooms clean and spacious. Regular housekeeping.
Lovely pool views and balcony rooms views of sea in the distance.
Breakfast served was good serving continental food and hot buffet style
Wifi available free in reception. Mini golf and tennis courts.
A bit of noise at weekends from nearby bars but excellent location maybe bring earplugs if req.
Good value for money, excellent base to explore the Algarve.

Room Tip: corner suites are large and luxurious!
