I stayed here with a friend, and partied. It was fab for us- staff nice and it was clean! Ladies came round and cleaned the rooms everyday. The pool is good but needs extra umbrellas as it's a fight of a morning to who's got them! Breakfast was very standard and limited chose but we were satisfied! As it is positioned on the strip it is perfect for party animals but if you fancy a early night you will not get one! Music turns off at 4am! Ahahaha. Over all great stay! PERFECT for us

Just returned home from holiday here its our 3rd. time. For a 3 star its fine, and we had a nice room overlooking the pools, with a nice balcolny and two chairs without a table! The staff are all very nice and helpful, food choice is a little limited but is fine. The outside is getting a lick of paint and it makes it look very nice, but there are other jobs that need attening to.ie the damaged tiles around the pool and the need for some extra sun umbrellers (there where 5) Will likely to go there again if they improve a little.

Room Tip: The pools side is much better facing south

Hotel staff really nice go out of their way to ensure your stay is a nice and pleasant one , my air con was nt workin and they even offered to upgrade me but i didnt mind not having no air con, half board food was basic but fabulous i enjoyed all the meals , rooms are comfy and cleaned everyday , on east wing rooms face the strip if u are a fussy sleeper request to be on the other side as its much quieter but i am very happy with the friendliness and cleanliness of this hotel and the half board food is always fresh and delicious thank you I'll be back again abrigado

Wow a great 4 days partying. 19 of us recently stayed at the Hotel Aldeia for my sons stag celebration and I have to say the staff were really, really nice, a big thanks to Leonardo who ensured that all 19 of our glasses were never empty, it was a big challenge for the hotel, 19 UK lads average age 25 except for the fathers! I think the hotel is what it says it is, a three star hotel. Yes there are a few cracks in places and yes it is in need of bringing from the 70’s into the next millennium and yes the pool could do with some attention to the tile work, but it is generally clean. Note, when we were there they were just finishing painting the outside of the hotel, new glass balconies and internal varnish and paintwork was being started on.

Breakfast was included in our rate and I have to say it was good, maybe they’ve got better since previous complaints. We never really had dinner there just ham & cheese toasties and chips, great sobering up food which was fresh and cooked well. The hotel is very well positioned on the party, party ‘New Town Strip’ which was great, we all thought that the New Town was much better than the Old Town and just outside the hotel is a great restaurant to eat lunch and dinner, although there were a number of people eating lunch and dinner at the hotel. If you do book, then as previous Trip Advisors have advised, ask for a pool side room, it’s much quieter. I’ve seen other reviews and some of them may have been a bit harsh as it suggests that their expectations were much more than a three star, however on a stag celebration, your expectations are lower but we were all pleasantly surprised by the location and hospitality of the hotel, we paid £220 inclusive of breakfast and flights for 3 nights. Note, at the time we were there (early May) the hotel was quite. Give them a try!

Room Tip: Get a poolside room it's not of the clubbing side.

We got half board at this hotel (just returned yesterday). On the first night for dinner there was only 3 options to pick from, one of my friends is a vegetarian and there was a miscommunication, on the night we were told the vegetarian dish had shrimp, so we had to go to the strip and get some fries, the next day we complained to the receptionist in which she said it did not have shrimp. if you are happy to live on soggy fries and boiled pasta with soggy boiled veg go for it, otherwise I strongly suggest getting room only facing the pool, as it is quieter on that side and you cannot hear too much noise from the Strip.

Also the towels are not replaced everyday, and when we asked for more we were given attitude, if we were informed prior we would have saved the towels. Also receptionists were a bit dodgy, these 2 women were very rude talking to each other in portugese whilst serving us, we would ask where attractions were the4 answer would be "dont know". Also the women receptionists requested for the key everytime we went out of the hotel, however the me did not.

I highly recommend the hotel based on the location as it is good for young people, but re the bed we asked for a triple room (inc double bed) but actually had 2 single beds pushed together and a smaller extra bed.

Below are places you should and should not do/visit:

visit the splash and slide water park
go to a resturant near Oura Beach called Wild and Co the most amazing food
go to a bar called Libertos: so amazing
go on the albuferia bar crawl (through albuferia rocks)
go Oura beach- nice bars, restaurants
go to La Bamba and Patcha club- the best clubs on the strip

Also do not go in the hotel pool, firstly it is as cold as ice and there are bugs in it!!

Do not go to fredi's restuarant: asked for pasta from vegi section and we got pasta with ham which we had waited 45 mins for, which obviously was sent back.

Room Tip: pool facing view :)

Hotel - early morning flight arrived approx 11am check in not until 2pm. Guy on reception very helpful - got us in early and was pleasant everytime we saw him - funny and kind enough to lend me a hairdryer for the week. Also we hadn't printed off hotel voucher, just written down the details, he gave us wifi code and his email add to send it. All sorted quickly.
One lift not working other broke next day with us in it - used stairs rest of week but it was working again later that day. Other public areas and pool etc all fine.
Room 319 an immediate disappointment but only because we had been influenced by previous reviews so were looking for the stained walls etc. In reality, it wasn't that bad, a bit dusty under the beds, bathroom could do with an upgrade and the integrated radio in the bedside table needless to say could have been returned to the 60s/70s. It wasn't very clean in places but i just had a quick wipe around. However, all working order and shower surprisingly good. It's got everything you need. Incidentally the hotel is being refurbished at the moment - other rooms have been done and they are currently painting the outside red - it will be better ready for the season though they might leave some rooms that will no doubt be trashed by the end of this summer. Odd numbered rooms are stripside and even a Sunday night before Easter was really noisy but didnt bother me so much - i knew what to expect. Not for the faint hearted though - earplugs essential if you're a light sleeper or pay a little extra for a poolside room that will be a little quieter.
Lots of Portuguese families here currently so quite a nice atmosphere. Mostly English and German in town.
Good location for bars and clubs and restaurants (hotel bar reasonably priced with afternoon Sun on balcony - nice view over pool area). Beach a little walk away and uphill on way back - nice bar there though and lots to do. Be aware that is only the nearest beach (Oura) and not the main beach in Albufeira; the main town is about 2 kilometers away downhill walk mostly. I'd advise turning left at the roundabout at the end of the strip (past Invictus, a nice restaurant with seaview) and taking the first right into Club Praia de Oura complex - really nice walk through their gardens rather than the smelly busy and steep road opposite the strip (it is actually called Cardiac hill). Alternatively keep walking on the road having turned left from the strip and past all the bars in the next part of town (Santa Eulalia), and then the next right which brings you to another smaller beach which is a little quieter - bar over the sea is lovely.
The road train will take you to the main town centre for 5 euros. The main beach and area is more suitable for families and those wanting a quieter experience. Walk further through the Old Town and on to the Marina - a few nice bars and you get most boat trips from there - probably about 3 miles from hotel to walk but fairly pleasant. If you like walking and explorations us, it's fine - some Lntof make it though and might feel trapped.
Breakfast in the hotel has sufficient choice. Boyfriend didn't like coffee but i managed to appease him with a tea. Bread, cheese, ham, cereals, sausage, tomatoes, boiled eggs, yoghurts, fruit, juice and water - plenty of choice for most people. Breakfast was quiet and calm around 930ish each day; most people sleeping it off i think. Some days it was a bit hit and miss - boiled egg on day one perfect, next day not cooked enough, day three scrambled but cold. The times we went earlier, it was busier and there were queues. The Easter bank holiday weekend was totally different - queued for a table, queued for food, coffee machine not working... full of Portuguese and Spanish... 2-3 waiters really struggled. Can imagine this is typical in high season; suggest getting food and taking back upstairs to bar/balcony.
crazy golf needs painting but functional and tennis courts looked in good order - you have to hire equipment for about €10 for an hour. Pools clean - terraced area again could be updated but functional.
First day housekeeping asked if we wanted room making up; we're quite tidy so declined but asked for more towels - no problem - really pleasant ladies who always said hello.
Important to note we paid £140pp each for a week including flights and BnB basis - this is pretty fair value for what's on offer - okay for a very cheap deal but wouldnt pay more in its current state.

Room Tip: If you value sleep, get a pool view room.

We are a retired couple...but very active and still teenagers at heart. We stayed here because our booked hotel turned out to be too inconveniently placed. This one...ok it's next to THE STRIP! Turned out to be a very good idea. It's obviously being done up. The pool side is just fabulous, it has the potential to be 5 starish. The room was clean and for the price was amazing, the balcony was super, lovely to sit out, sun all day, early evening was idyllic, took photos of the sun going down behind the fabulous panoramic view of the villas and the palm trees. Then one minutes walk to the bars, had a good curry one night and excellent pizza another, had a boogie to the music, great to be a minute away from the hotel. And on the pool side there is NO noise, incredible! The staff were lovely, breakfast was good, I needed help with my I pad and DEBORAH came and was SO helpful, what a sweet girl. I think she was a Manager, forgot to ask. An absolutely magnificent experience and what a bargain...no doubt when it's fully done up it'll be expensive and rerated star wise! Thanks! :)

Room Tip: Poolside is quiet and sunny on the balcony, Strip side if you like music!
