The apartment is basic, but clean with a kitchen and sofa beds. We had an issue when the heating could not be turned down or off, and they cheerfully gave us another room late in the evening. T.V remote is 1 euro extra. Walk downhill to the old town was o.k. and small supermarket close by for supplies. Very quiet as winter season. For the price (10 pounds per night) was fine for a couple of days.

As a young married couple we booked a studio for 1 week. However, this turned out to be a studio with no bed. it was 2 small sofas, that we had to push together. Perhaps cosy to some, but did leave stiff necks (as only 1 pillow each was available) and the mattress had no flexibility. When i asked if there was a studio with a double bed, i got told no studio had beds. If we'd have known, we may have paid more for 1 bedroom. The kitchen facilities were basic, but the fridge was old, so made a noise during the night - just 3metres away from sleeping area. Plus side? Stunning views, but was pleased i had flat shoes, as this is in the Old Town, ie....hills galore. the Panorama restaurant was closed until our last 2days there, and the pool was open, not heated, and not managed by a life guard, so kids could have got into trouble if unsupervised. Oh, and TV is an extra cost and wifi wasn't working (but wasn't advised of this til we arrived).

we stayed at the albufeira jardim from 14-18 november and have to say what a very pleasant place it is to stay.
the accommodation is a little dated and the electrics leave something to be desired but to be honest how much time do you actually spend in the place. the cooking facilities were ample, there was always hot water, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of bedding, the maids were polite and thorough. there was heating to take the chill off after the sun had gone down.
the view from the balcony (we were in A2 92) over the pool towards the old town was stunning.
everywhere is easily accessible ok its a bit of a strenuous walk back up but where isnt in albufeira.
enjoyed great meals at o'velheiro (as always) and grill 54 (what a view) - would recommend both and arte-bar is well worth a stroll if only to admire the view from the terrace over a couple of cold ones!!!

This is my second review of this place, see my previous review.

Yes, it could do with a make over, it's tired but fully functional, top of a hill, but what a view over the bay, not good for the infirm tho'

Clean, basic, heated, has all the essentials, maid service 6 days a week.

For the price it's a done deal, as others have said, where else can you get something like this at these prices, unless you have booked a package trip & your package company has ripped you off, charging market price & pocketing the difference ?
