This hotel has had some mixed reviews but we stayed for a week all inclusive and couldn't fault the hotel. Some people said the food was repetitive but we found the food good with a choice of fish and meat every day. There was always salad and soup, pasta and sauce and burgers and chips. There wasn't a lot of choice of potato and veg. Wine and drinks in the dining room were served by the very pleasant waiting staff. In fact we found all the staff very helpful and friendly. You could not ask for a better position for a hotel with views to die for and a short walk to the strip if you want lively nightlife and a 15 minute walk along the beach the other way to the old town. The only thing is if you have a a problem with walking this hotel would not be good for you as there are a lot of steps around the hotel and it is on a cliff top so getting down to the beach would be difficult. We had an apartment with fantastic sea views, the only criticism I had was the beds are hard which is the same everywhere abroad. The rooms could maybe do with a bit of updating but they were very large with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space plus a kitchenette and table and chairs which we never used as we were all inclusive. For the money we paid this hotel was extremely good value. There was a good choice of drinks included beer, wine, sangria, cocktails, local spirits and liquers plus water, soft drinks, tea and coffee. The swimming pool area is also very attractive with a large grassed area with sunbeds and sea views.
All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Mysel, my mum and sister went to this hotel for 1 week and arrived back in rainy scotland on saturday evening. This has been our 5th time at this hotel and I would love to go back again! the location is fab, 5 minute walk to the beach (fair enough to the ba humbugs, it is a steep walk), 10 mins to the strip where you will find lots of bars and restraunts for all. The Auramar is dated, and does need a make over. They are trying hard as there was new painted pillars and new chairs since our last visit. The room are ALWAYS spotless and have towels and sheets changed daily. No matter who you require help from, whether it be the reception, bar staff, waiters or even the cleaners, they are always happy to help. The food is FAB as you have lots of choice. Please visit this hotel as its views are breath taking and is so convenient.

Room Tip: Goto Slide & Splash, you'll love it!!

Having read some of the reviews for this hotel we were a bit apprehensive however we have just had a most enjoyable week here. The hotel is in a lovely position with stunning sea views.
The hotel was very clean and the grounds were well kept and tidy. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily and although the beds were not changed as far as I am aware, the towels were replaced daily.
The food was of a good standard with an adequate choice - you would have to have been very hard to please not to be able to find something to eat!
One negative was that at this time of year there is only one bar open at a time and as this is quite a large sprawling complex it meant that if you wanted a drink you pretty much had to stay at the bar area round the pool. This is a bit of a shame as there were other nice places to sit during the day.
At night the bar in the lobby area was the only one open and this would have been adequate but for the fact that there was, at most times, only one member of staff serving behind the bar. This caused long queues and in some cases short tempers!
All in all we had a great week with smashing weather and we would not have to think twice about going back. However due to the area covered by this complex, the distance between the various blocks and the many stairs outside I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who has mobility problems

Room Tip: A deposit of £10 is required for your room key.

My Husband and I have just returned from holiday at the Auramar Hotel in Albuferie and found the hotel had everything that we needed. The location is a 20 minute walk away from the old town but you can walk along the beach which is stunning. A taxi is under 5 euro if you don't want the walk. Easy walking distance to "The Strip" with lots of bars and restaurants, but far enough away for the noise not to bother you. We were only Bed and Breakfast so I can't comment on the food at the Hotel. The Receptionists were all lovely and very helpful to us. The Hotel is a little dated but extremely clean, we were only there for 3 days and had two changes of towels and clean sheets. The swimming pool looked very clean and inviting. We paid very little for this 3 day break and found that we had great value for money. Remember this is a three star hotel not five stars!!!! Also remember some people are professional complainers. We will certainly be going back to the Auramar.

We got back last night from our holiday and miss our apartment already! What a great place ( how can you meanies moan about it! )....good food, great staff and as for the location..WOW!! ..straight down to the gorgeous beach, walk along and you are in Albufeira town.
We got back from breakfast on the 2nd and there was a birthday cake for my hubby..what a lovely surprise!!
We paid dirt cheap for our 6 days here, got the room we wanted ( by the mini golf sooo peaceful ),a sea view.Room was good and big, even had a fridge,a tv with English progs and sports channel which thrilled the hubby as he could watch footie :)

Although the hotel is nice enough be prepared for a precarious trip down to the beach its only 20 metres from hotel but down a very steep path which has partly washed away. We went all inclusive food was okay if you like the same thing every day!! The beds were very hard and moved every time you sat on them. Entertainment was not very entertaining unless your 60!!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

My boyfriend and I and our friends went for a 4 day break to the Auramar we booked cheap flights with JET2.COM only 59 euro’s per person return from Leeds. We googled a cheap Airport transfer yellowfish transfers , com only 60 euro return for 4 of us with a bottle of wine included free. They were waiting for us at the Airport with our name on a plaque like in movies.Auramar itself was ok not great old an a bit shabby but for 35 euro’s per night all inclusive for 2 people cant really complain. And the location was fantastic on the beach an near the bars and restaurant. The weather was fantastic for November really warm. Actually came home with a suntan.
Although the hotel wasn’t great we had a great time for a short budget break.
