“Another Great Stay by the Sea”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2013

Our 3rd stay as the Rocamar Beach Hotel was fantastic. The value for a Sea View Room so close to the beach is amazing. Our room was spacious and cleaned every day.

The hotel is a minute or two from the beach (via a lift or stairs) and a 5 minute stroll into the Old Town. There are lots of restaurants and bars (for most tastes) in the Old Town.

The hotel appears to be having a bit of a facelift, the halls were being decorated while we were there. So our hopes for next times visit will be even higher.

Room Tip: I strongly recommend a Sea View Room, be careful booking on the 3rd floor as some of the rooms back...

We have just got back from a stay at this hotel and were not sure when we arrived. The road by the main enterance looked a little rough with an old condemned building covered with graffiti over the road :s. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we walked through the main doors and it is beautiful and modern.
The views from this hotel are amazing (of the coastline) and quite breathtaking. Only a short walk from the lift which takes you to the beach and about a ten minute walk to the marina. Equally a 5 to 10 minute walk to the old town square which was lovely.
Overall I would reccommend this hotel! The staff are sooooooooooooooo nice and we would certainly go back again! The only thing to consider is that if you are a tea/ coffee drinker like me, there isn't a kettle in the room. Also, we stayed in room 517, which, although it was nice, did not have a great view from the balcony..... probably best to pay a little extra for a sea view room :)

Thanks Rocamar for a fabulous stay.... we will certainly be back.

Room Tip: avoid 3rd floor, book a sea view room x

Me and my wife have just returned from the Rocomar after a weeks holiday.
I got what I paid for a 3* hotel only concerns are we stayed on the 5th floor although the view was stunning over looking the beach and a wonderful sea view the room was very tired and needed a updating.
All though we found it spacious a long with the bath room the shower was poor pressure would drop also the water temp, the tiles needed regrouting and the shower screen if knock only slightly would open hence soaking the bathroom floor making it very slippy.
The breakfast was ok all though the dinning room is far to small for a hotel with 500+ rooms.
On leaving the hotel after are holiday we put these concerns to the hotel reception and was told that they are updating the rooms but as this now the start of high season it will not happen yet they've already started on the lower floors.
I would stay here again certainly if the rooms were updated or I certainly would souly based on the excellent location to the lovely old town

Room Tip: Rooms on the 5th floor with sea view are excellent ( room 514)

My wife and I, along with my sister and brother-in-law have just returned from a 9 night stay at the Rocamar. Our rooms,516 and 518, were exactly what we had asked and paid for on booking. Top floor, seaview, just the job! Rooms cleaned properly every day by very pleasant, sociable staff. Food was average, but we had no trouble finding something to eat at every meal. The fresh oranges at dinner were amazing! Hotel issues Wi-Fi codes to the room which need to be logged in every day but works anywhere within the hotel at no charge. There is internet access via a desktop which is chargeable. Modern bar and dining area, very smart décor, pool table and TV (on but not obtrusive) except when entertainment is on. Very laid back, go down town if you want something livelier! Biggest plus point for us was undoubtedly the dining room and bar staff. Yes it can be busy in the morning, Have Patience!!, it goes a long way. The guys were absolutely brilliant with us and couldn't do enough. Joao ( I hope I've spelled that right!) took great delight in trying to teach us a new word everyday, make the effort to just say morning, please and thank you, it means a lot. Can't fault the location, beds were comfy, what more do you need from a hotel at this price? Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, Enjoy!!

Room Tip: As with other reviews, go for floors 4 and 5 if available, even numbers have sea view. odd face the...

Our visit to Albeferia coincided with a coldish spell. However this did not distract us and we toughly enjoyed our visit to the Rocamor hotel. After reading trip advisor we booked a sea view and that is what you need as position is everything. We were given room 504 right at the top of the hotel. It had amazing views right over the beach and beyond. We could sit there until about 3.30pm and it was heaven, completely private and a sun trap. The deck with small pool was lovely. We managed to sit there most mornings although there is not too much room. I must admit if the weather had been kinder we would have spent more time on the beach.

The hotel is very stylish furnished and as someone said like a boutique hotel. The room was fine space wise and as with everywhere else spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom although small seemed new and was very functional.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and experience over the past few years has made us realise this works for us.. The breakfast was varied and very tasty with eggs three ways, either bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms and cold cuts. There were also 3 juices, lovely fresh oranges and other fruit. Nothing flash but plenty and well cooked. The dining room was small and as the hotel was full there was sometimes a queue but I think a lot of this was because it was cold and not many people wanted to eat outside as it was quite chilly in the mornings. The evening buffet had little choice but as you are 200 yards form the old town and all those lovely restaurants offering great value why bother.

We found all the staff were friendly and helpful. The barmen very knowledgeable, the breakfast staff efficient and the reception always helped with requests with a smile.
I would recommend the Rocamor for a comfortable and pleasant stay as its location and amenities are very good. If we return to Albuferia we would certainly return

Room Tip: Do pay extra for a sea view

My boyfriend and I have just returned from The Rocamar and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room, 110 on 1st floor was sea view and was a large room. Spacious, well equipped, lovely bathroom, powerful shower, hair dryer also. We requested a fridge and this was in our room on our return from a day out free of charge which was a god send. Safe was 9 euros for 1 week. Cleaner was very discreet but efficient. The only disadvantage was we booked a double room,it was 2 twin beds pushed together so not very good in my opinion.
This hotel is like a boutique hotel, very modern, trendy bar and relaxing area with comfy settees and tv... Our wifi codes would not work, you can pay to use the pc and Internet.
Beautiful view and location for this hotel, literally a 5 min walk to the old town, but your also away from it all if you need to be. We would definitely return as a perfect location for beach views.
