We stayed here for a couple of days in March with family and friends. The weather wasn't brilliant but we still managed to have a good time. The Hotel is literally a stones throw from the beach and is very convenient if you are keen to hit the beach for a bit of sun. We would definitely recommend you going for the sea-view rooms if possible since the alternative rooms offer a less inspiring view (derelict buidling!).
The hotel pool, though small, was clean and well kept. Make sure to bring your own towel though as towels aren't provided for pool use.
We tried out the spa and found the therapist to be very friendly and welcoming. The spa area itself is relatively small and intimate, with a jacuzzi that fits a maximum of 3 people, a steam room that fits only 2, and a sauna that also fits only 2 people. However, we couldn't compain since the use of the facilities is free, and even though it was small, because we visited during off-peak season the spa was quiet and we were able to make full use of the facilities without having to fight for space. This was just the ticket for our relaxing holiday.
The hotel offered a complimentary buffet breakfast that had a good selection of hot and cold food, and they had a decent variety that kept us happy during our short stay. Make sure you get there early though since it is popular and gets pretty busy.
We also had lunch at the hotel twice during our 3 days there, and the food was pretty good, especially the grilled sardines (yum!), but the only down side is that service was slow and the food took a while to be served. Other than that we would recommend eating here as we found the quality of their food to be a lot better than some of the other places we tried.
All in all, we would recommend this hotel. It was great value; is in a great location - just off the beach and very close to the old town; food was good; staff were friendly; and spa facilities (excl treatments) were free and in decent order.
