Hotel staff very friendly and efficient. Good choice of food, buffet breakfast and dinner. Great size rooms and v clean. Nice large pool and due to mainly older guests was quiet & relaxing. No gym which hubbie disappointed about. Indoor pool, jacuzzi and steam room.
Surrounding area is quiet, we hired a car and drove to Vilamoura and Albuferia for variety..
Would recommend if looking for quiet relaxing get away.

Returned home on 15th May after a wonderful week at this hotel, our fourth visit in 8 years. A great improvement in the standard of food, the staff are very friendly and cheerful (watch out for Armen, the waiter) and the room was spotless, overlooking the outdoor pool. Clientele mainly British, so no problems with sun beds. The entertainment was certainly not Thomson GOLD standard, with three young staff in their early twenties trying their best to entertain, but fortunately the resident duo, SOPHISTICATION, were brilliant and deserved of their forthcoming, and past cruise ship entertainment. As mentioned by previous guests, there is very little to do within the vicinity of this hotel, the beach is a 30 minute walk away (Falesia beach), but free hotel transport is available 4 times per day. Albufeira can be reached by public transport (bus stop 200 yards from hotel) or by hotel minibus for 5 Euros return per person, highly recommended. If you want a room with sun on the balcony, then upgrade to a pool view room. As stated earlier, this excellent hotel is remote and sited in the wrong place.

Room Tip: Pool view room with balcony for all day sunshine.

Just returned from Falesia Hotel what a wonderful place to stay, cannot fault anything. The staff the rooms and food were all excellent. Stayed in a junior suite which we were upgraded to as we booked the romantic package. The choice of food at both breakfast and dinner is amazing everyone should find something to their liking. The atmosphere is relaxed, quiet and friendly if your looking for a relaxing holiday this is the place for you. Will be returning in autumn. There are a few bars cafés and supermarkets just down the road, bus stop just a few minutes walk away but taxis are just as cheap. Cannot wait to return

Room Tip: Stayed in a room overlooking the car park which was really quiet, would request this again

I heartily endorse the excellent reviews on here. The Hotel's architecture, setting, grounds and gardens, poolside etc are 1st class. In particular my wife and I liked the greenery, birds, frogs and pond life. The food, staff helpfulness and overall atmosphere all contributed to an excellent week's holiday..
Minor quibbles are:-
1.The entertainment was pretty dire with a group of young, inexperienced staff failing to hit the right notes for an elderly clientele of mainly 60 and 70 year olds. They need some guidance, help and effective mentoring.
2. Only 1 British TV channel (Sky news) amongst 16 channels on bedroom TVs is scandalously few for a largely British customer base. We could in additionexpect at least one BBC channel plus one ITV channel.
3. It is penny pinching to charge for room safe, fridge and kettles in this a luxury hotel with prices to match.
Notwithstanding it is likely that we will pay a return visit, repeat purchases demonstrate genuine customer satisfaction.

The Falesia is a comfortable, well maintained hotel with excellent staff who are both friendly and efficient. From check - in until departure the service was excellent.

We had a mini-suite, which had a seating are with sofa and coffee table attached to the sleeping area, all facilities were in working order and the room spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel.

The food was generally very good, only being slightly let down by the hot vegetables at dinner, both breakfast and dinner were buffets with plenty of choice at both meals.

The hotel has a large outdoor pool set in pleasant grounds, though in April it was too cold for me, the indoor pool is heated and prooved popular, the end of this pool was cluttered with and assortment of plastic chairs and loungers, though a couple of changing cubicles and shelving for belongings would have been a better use of the space.

The negatives, I object to hotels charging to use the in room safe, why should I pay extra per day to use an electronic safe to protect my property from their staff. The only English language TV channels were BBC world news and CNN................there is only so much of Sobbin' Oscar I can take.

This hotel is in a quiet location, within easy walking of a few bars & restaurants and a couple of supermarkets, as a choice for a quiet relaxing holiday, within easy reach of Albufeira it is hard too beat.

Room Tip: If you want the sun on your balcony choose a room overlooking the pool.

Stayed here for one week with Thomson Gold. The junior suite we booked was brilliant, enjoyed the sea views from the top floor. Food, staff, hotel were all excellent. Isn't as close to the beach as others nearby but that didn't bother us. The hotel do run a shuttlebus to the beach as well as villamora. Some of the evening entertainment is probably aimed towards the older generation but it's still a good environment to sit in and enjoy a drink. Week was long enough though as there isn't much to do outside the hotel at night. Would definitely return.
