Beautiful location, the hotel and food were lovely. The staff are also very pleasant and accommodating. When the new rooftop bar and restaurant opens it will be terrific. My only gripe is having to wear a cap in the indoor swimming pool, it put me off using it. I would return to this hotel.

We arrived at this hotel, at 10am on Thursday the 13th of June and were told our room was ready, what a great surprise as we did not expect to be in our room until 4pm. The owner regina & A member of staff could not have been more helpful, the room was very clean and spacious with a very well laid out bathroom. kept spotless by the cleaner. THE EXCELLENT TERRACE.
above a stunning beach. with waiter service. very very pleased. GREAT HOTEL.

Room Tip: Rooms on road side are good. 4th floor.

I have travelled the world and have stayed in some lovely hotels, however none compares with my recent stay in this hotel.
I was recuperating from an operation and stayed in this hotel with my mum, (due to work commitments hubby could not go - or so I thought).
My hubby surprised me by coming out, no accommodation booked I might add. However Mrs Regina Leandro ( owner) arranged a stay. The hotel was full , Regina juggled other rooms and even gave hubby a discounted rate.
Regina is a lady, her staff team are exemplary, professional, friendly and go out of their way to ensure everything is 110% during your stay.
The hotel is absolutely spotless, in a most beautiful location.
I certainly will be returning to this wonderful hotel.

A huge thank you /Obrigado to Regina and her fantastic team xxxxxxxxxxx

I have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at the hotel Alisios, what a great hotel. I am a very fussy traveller and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was modern and spacious, defiantly worth paying the extra for a sea view. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of foods from fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, scrambled egg and bacon and homemade cake. I had a great nights sleep every night as the hotel is quiet and comfortable. You cannot fail to like this hotel. I would return to this hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms are good but sea view really worth the extra money.

This was my wife's and my first trip to Portugal and it certainly will not be our last. We stayed at the Alisios Hotel and what a welcome we received from the moment we walked into reception. The owner, Regina and Pedro who were on the desk could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We had booked a sea view room and were immediately up graded to a sea view room on the first floor. The room was very modern, recently refurbished and had an excellent bathroom and shower - big enough for two and with a large walk in wardrobe with a built in safe. The room also had a telephone, a flat screen TV and a fridge which we found very useful for that evening drink on the balcony. We were asked if we wanted the fridge stocked with anything but declined as we stocked it ourselves with wine, milk and water. The only thing missing in our view was a kettle but being long term travellers, we had taken our own, ideal for that early morning cup of tea.
The bathroom contained plenty of soap, shower gel etc. and included a hair dryer. Above all it was spotless as was the whole of the Hotel and grounds.
The Hotel was nearing the end of being refurbished and the Dining area overlooking the sea was not quite finished but was useable for the lunch time menu, using the downstairs dining room for the evening. Food was excellent on the evenings as was the service. The only criticism of the Buffet style breakfast was that the bacon and egg was warm rather than hot on each morning that we used it. We had different 'hot' items every day such as mushrooms, sausages, boiled eggs, grilled tomatoes etc. but if you asked the staff they would fry an egg for you as nothing was too much trouble. The cold table was extensive and replenished quickly. The toaster was well used and rather slow during busy periods but tables were cleared very quickly and a new table cloth was changed for every customer. Coffee and tea was from a machine which I must say was excellent.
The position of the hotel was within 10 minutes’ walk of the old town where there were countless restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets. There is an escalator to take you up and down from the high level to the beach level of the old town and a taxi ride from the hotel to the old town was around 4 euros. There was also a regular Noddy Train passing the Hotel. I am in my 60’s and found the stroll to the old town quite easy, some days going twice. The steps to the beach from the hotel were also fairly easy for the average person but just past the hotel towards the old town is a slope down to the beach which some may find a little easier.
When I saw the other high rise hotels in the area I was very pleased that we had chosen the Alisios as it was clean, quiet and very friendly. Only one child was seen during our stay and most travel companies using the hotel do not allow children. There were adequate sun loungers on the terrace, ample chairs and a lovely bar and an indoor swimming pool.

I find it hard to read some reviews such as Elleneli's last review of this hotel - how can you give 5 stars & then say never again

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this hotel & it get's better every time.

As soon as I walked in the staff remembered me from over 4 years since I stayed last & the hotel
put a bottle of wine in my room & said thank you for coming back - now that is service.

There is a little bit of building work going on at present on the terrace but believe me you wold nee know - they have put anew restaurant on the terrace & have put down fake grass & all new sun beds - all of which is first class

STAFF

Everyone in this hotel are 1st rate & nothing is a chore

They must have the biggest cleaning staff on the coast - they are for ever cleaning if you can find a spec of dust anywhere I would be surprised

ROOMS

Once again the rooms are spotless & well presented - LCD tv very large shower

On thin missing is a tea / coffee facilty but who cares you want one just let the staff know &they
will bring it to you

Overall A first class hotel with first class staff

I will return

The hotel is directly on the beach, only 10 min. walk to the Old town.
It is perfectly clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull.
The furniture of the hotel remains me my grand parents furniture. I didnt like it at all. The bed is terrible. We cancelled the booking of the hotel after our 1st night.
I dont think the hotel is a value for the money. To pay 155 euro is over the top. They should ask max. 65 euro pre night.
In the swimming pool you have to wear a plastic cap on your head :-(
Never again.
