We are just back from a great stay at Pateo Village. We booked a 1 bed apartment & got room 216. There was only 2 of us & the apartments are huge!! They also had lots of practical self catering tools - toaster, mcrowave, oven, hobs, kettle - all at no extra cost.

Friends if ours booked a studio & it was OK for 2 people but they were very jealous of our massive apartment. Well worth the upgrade! They also had room 1 right next to bar & not much light, so avoid if u can.

There are a few cats/dogs around but they dont harm anyone!

Location is in what seems like a very local area. Its nice! 15 mins walk to town at least.

We booked with lowcostholidays online - no hassle & very cheap!

fantastic holiday! i went with my duaghter(aged18) and son (aged6). all staff were very helpful at all times. always clean & tidy cleaners where always changing the towels and sheets. lots of stray cats 7 to be exact and 3 dogs, all very friendly and just wanting a clap. we were in room 113 (top floor) great location and fantastic views. only thing wrong was there was nothing for my son(6) as it wasn't in season so he settled for the pool table and internet service. "happy hour" is on from 7pm-9pm where all alcoholic drinks are half price which is great for us adults! white wine was £1.25 & vodka mixer £1.75.. original price £3.50 a vodka!! nice walk to the town also known as "the square" where everything is such as shops, clubs, pubs etc. its a rough 15 minute downhill walk and 5euro taxi home as its all uphill!

RECOMMEND FOR EVERYONE!!

I have had many holidays here it was once all Irish people but now it gets guests from all over and some locals.
We have a large family and was suitable for all us
Its not a massive complex and only has Reception , Pool and pool bar , Its very friendly as everyone gets to no each other.
There are 2 small pools with a nice and clean garden area
We travelled Aer lingus. I don’t travel Ryan air.. The flights are dearer but you get what you pay for..
We had not got a coach included with our travel plans , so we organised to go to the hotel with a cab yellow fishtaxis or yellow fishtransfers com , very good and well priced for 8 of us.they turned up on time and with clean nice cars
We have been here many times and like to go to the mama mia restaurant by the hotel and restaurant Leme.
In the town we like Bravo for a steak.
If you like to go on trips try the dolphin watching it is amazing as there are loads of Dolphins and its easy as it goes from the local marina

Pateo village was clean, cheap and a 15 minute walk to the old town. Bar, shop and indoor and outdoor pool, communal garden areas clean and well kept, room comfortable, shower good, water hot.

Not a 5 star but does not set out to be, a value stay for families i suspect and a good base for couples. we walked into the old town and also caught a cab for just 4 euros.

Bar street on a Wednesday and a Sunday eve is a great evening...Irish guy on the guitar, great fun.

we stayed at pateo village january i must say the weather was fabulous the apartments were very big and had everything we needed. there was happy hour every night from 7 till 9pm. the maids are in every day the apartments are very clean, the receptionist sandra couldn't do enough for us and was very helpful not forgetting john too. this is a nice quiet place of the old town we would recommend pateo village and will be returning back at the end of the year again.

Room Tip: the apartments to the right of the reception have the sun all day.

We stayed at Pateo Village for 10 days returning this week. Having read some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive as we usually stay in Olhos D'Agua which is a wonderful place. We had a second(top) floor apartment which was very clean, spacious and really quite nice. The balcony was HUGE and got the sun all day. The grounds were well kept and the indoor pool and spa were clean and we used them daily. The Spa was quite hot but if you lowered yourself into it gradually it was fine. All the staff we met were very friendly and very helpful, special thanks to John :) The area is very quiet and peaceful except for local dogs barking some nights, but not enough to spoil our evenings.

We walked to the Old Town every day and it is a very pleasant walk which took us about 10 minutes. There is a bus stop 1 minute from the village which will take you to the Old Town and also to the main bus terminal. We ate at Mamma Mia's a couple of times which is also a minute walk away and they serve very good food which is not expensive. Pizza and Pasta buffet @ 6.95 per person for all you can eat.

My only gripe, and it is a very small gripe, is that I would have liked a few more kitchen utensils.
All in all we would quite happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment on the second(top) floor facing the indoor pool.
