“Lovely Peaceful Hotel”
Reviewed 20 June 2014 via mobile

We are just about to leave after a weeks all inclusive stay at this hotel. Overall we found it lovely, very quiet and a little out the way of the lively old town. We easily walked there though and only took us 20 mins although this would be slightly more difficult if you have mobility issues. The hotel does run a free shuttle to the local beaches and old town which I feel is more than adequate to get you where you want! We found the food amazing! Very clean dining space and really efficient staff. Rooms were nice and clean and the hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The only little things we could pick at is they could probably do with a few more members of staff as it does get quite busy for drinks, all inclusive ends at 11 which was a bit of a pain during the World Cup!! The entertainment is a little naff but with the old town very lively and not far away this wasn't really a problem! It does get very busy around the pool by late morning and is near on impossible to find a bed by the pool ( they do have other areas on grass etc) overall if your looking for a well priced, relaxing, clean, friendly hotel then this is definitely the one. We would come back again. :-)

Dear Guest,

We sincerely regret that the choice of food did not corresponded to your expectations. Although the feedback has been mostly positive, we understand that food is a subjective, sensitive point that depends strongly on the personal tastes, expectations and preferences of each individual guest. But we have informed our Executive Chef and will pay special attention to the comments we might receive, in order to be able to detect and react to a possible problem at an early stage.

Usually our team ensures that the birthdays of our guests are not forgotten. We regret that in your case was different. We guarantee this was a one off situation.

Thank you once again for your feedback and be assured that we will do our utmost to improve wherever we can.

We hope for a new visit in order to prove you the Real Bellavista Hotel & SPA high standards.

Yours sincerely

Just returned from a week stay at the Real Bellavista.
Overall a highly recommendable place to stay as the staff were excellent and the hotel was comfortable, clean and reasonably priced.
The food was excellent and offered a good choice of local and British dishes. Perhaps too much choice as my waistline has expanded somewhat!
Restaurant is efficiently run and is kept spotless, and the staff are courteous and friendly when approached. Although the hotel was full there was never a rush for the restaurant, and we were never hurried to finish our meals.

Entertainment was okay, but nothing special and repeats each week.
The entertainment area off the bar was poorly lit, so it was quite hard to see the performances. Not really great for childrens' activities, probably due to the shortage of entertainment staff. Emphasis is more on relaxation as this is a spa hotel.
Can recommend the free walking tour offered to the old town as it helps to orientate you and Pedro our guide made it interesting with lots of local facts.

There was never any problem getting sunbeds as there are plenty located around the pool, grass area and garden to the front of the hotel. Rear garden provides shaded sunbathing throughout the morning.

Rooms were spotless and lots of attention paid to detail. Soap dispensers, hairdryer, tissues etc available. Fridge in room and plenty of wardrobe/drawer space.
Wi-fi was available in the room we had on the third floor.

This hotel is not really suitable for less mobile clients as it is located uphill from both the old and new town, however the benefit is that it is situated in a quieter area.
The fact the hotel ran a mini-bus to the 3 local beach areas several times during the day could be helpful, otherwise it might cost you in taxi fares, although these are reasonably priced at around 5 euros to or from the old town.

Would definitely return as this was one of the cleanest and most efficiently run hotels we have stayed at so far.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool if you like sun in the afternoon-evening.

Stayed in this hotel in May 2014, all inclusive. Generally food was ok and very nice on some occasions. Drink great for all inclusive and bar staff very friendly. Rooms lovely, carpeted but very clean, loved it, Large bathroom. Entertainment hopeless, or lack of it. Hotel about 20 mins walk to old town and same to new town. Overall had an enjoyable holiday at this hotel and would recommend it

Room Tip: if you want a sunny room in the evenings request a pool view.

I spent a week in the Real Bellavista, The hotel is spotless and in a good location but the reception staff were sour and uninterested in their happy holidaymakers on our arrival and through out the stay. The room we stayed in was clean and suitable to our needs. The pool area was nice if even a little cramped, we used the grass area to the rear to enjoy the sun but you have to keep moving the sun bed to stay out of the shade. I cannot comment on the food in the hotel as we only had breakfast there which was above average and suitable for us no real complaints. The old town is about 10-15 min walk from the hotel or €4 taxi ride, with loads of good restaurants to choose from.Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would return.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for the comment.

The biggest compliment that our team can have is your desire to return. We are surprised with your comment about our staff since usually the guests praise the friendliness of our staff the most.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to increase the pool area, at least not in the near future, but we are very pleased to inform you that for all guests who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, we do have an additional outside area in our garden in the back of the Hotel.

We are very happy that you enjoyed the quality of our food, our rooms and the location of our hotel. The available and the sympathy of our team is a permanent characteristic of our staff.
We hope, anxiously, for your new visit to Real Bellavista Hotel & SPA.

Best Regards,

Pool as cold as the sea. Drinks and food are not very good. Rooms noisy. Entertament non existing overall rubbish. glad to be home.

Dear guest,
We herewith would like to thank you for having stayed at the Real Bellavista Hotel & Spa and for taking the time with your review.

Your feedback is very important and appreciated, as it helps us achieving our aim of constantly improving our service according to our guests’ preferences and needs.
Thank you for your constructive feedback and suggestions to run the shuttle bus more frequently. There are currently no plans to increase the frequency on a permanently, but we will consider to offer additional runs during the high season. We regret the situation but it seems to have more to do with the behavior of other guests than with the service we have provided.
In what concerns to F&B, we are aware this is a very sensitive matter since it’s related with the personal taste of each one and that is why we try to offer a diverse food selection in every meal in order to suit the preferences and tastes of all guests. Please be also assured all food on our buffets is daily and freshly homemade.

We also do our efforts to provide entertainment in the night, very diverse and that meets the interests of all our guests, families, kids and adults. We will make sure that our Entertainment Manager will be informed about your opinion.

We sincerely regret that the stay at our Hotel did not entirely correspond to your expectations.

Thank you for your feedback and comments which will be taken into consideration.

Yours sincerely,
Rita Machado

I had booked a few nights in the sun with my friend in May. The aim had been to find an all inclusive as cheaply as possible. This one seemed to fit the bill and wasn't too pricey. Most of the reviews seemed ok. That is until the week before we went and the reviews seemed to be pretty poor so I wasn't too hopeful. However, on arrival I was promised a quiet room. I was a little sceptical, especially when we sat by the pool in the afternoon and there was a rowdy stag party there. However, despite that party being on the same floor as us I can honestly say we didn't hear a thing. We had a room on the 2nd floor to one of end looking out the back of the hotel. The room itself was nice and had everything we needed and most importantly was very clean. The pool was freezing but it did mean I had to keep swimming! The gym facilities which were included in the cost of our premium room were ok but not brilliant. It seemed that most of the equipment could do with being replaced. Strangely the spa area was shut on Sundays and didn't open till 0900. I realise i'm on holiday but it would have been nice to get my exercise out the way before breakfast. The food was edible. We were only there 4 nights and aren't too fussy. We certainly didn't go expecting top class food. There was a reasonable variety and you certainly shouldn't go hungry. I can imagine it could get a bit boring if you are there a week or more. The entertainment was not really important to us as we spend the whole time talking but there was live music which was ok. The area for the entertainment is quite small so I can imagine in the summer people fighting for seats. The outside pool area I really liked. There was an area of grass with sun beds on and then sun beds around the pool. If you want sun all day head to the end furthest away from the hotel entrance as that seemed to get it all day. We were sat out in the sun till 7pm each night - lovely!! It seemed the hotel didn't really know who they were trying to attract. There were people like us, friends catching up, families with young children, retired people and then the hen and stag do's. To be honest the stag party was ok except for one incredibly loud and annoying man and to be honest I think his friends probably thought he was annoying as well. It was interesting pool viewing to see the interactions between them and the hen party! But I wouldn't have wanted to be there with my young children. There was a minibus that would drop you off in the old town or the strip which was fine. All in all a good 4 nights away and I would recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: At the back with a (long distance) sea view - quiet rooms. If you are pool side rooms could be a bi...
