I went to Albuferia and stayed at Clube Praia Da Ora on the 10th June-20th June. This place is absolutely AMAZING! I stayed in a studio apartment with a friend, it was spotless and everything was so clean. The beds are so comfortable that i actually miss them now im home. It was a big enough apartment for us as we didnt spend much time there, only to sleep, eat and get ready for a night out. The maids were so lovely and came every other day to clean and give us whatever we needed. I cant recommend a lot of the food there, as it was cheaper for us to buy food from the local supermarkets and cook in the apartment, although the food at the hotel was really nice, the chicken piri piri was lovely & so was the pizza & the little restaurant/cafe near the beach was also really nice. We did eat at a local chinese, which was absolutely amazing.
There are two local supermarkets, one of them is just behind the hotel, we found it by just walking about. The other one is right next to their sister hotel, Oura Praia :)
Both of them are fantastic. Cheap prices too :)

The strip is amazing. You can find a lot of lovely bars, clubs, pubs, restuarants and nice shops :) cigarettes and alcohol are really cheap too :)

The people there are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. I have stayed in contact with 4 of the staff there as i bonded really well with them, but all of them are lovely. Pedro, Pedro, Bruno, Marcio, Paulo, Filipe, Luis & of course the amazing Cristiano :)
The hotel entertainment was amazing, it was so enjoyable that i didnt end up going to any clubs and im only 21 :)
They also do a lot of things for kids there, so its a place for familys :)

The jacuzzis were lovely, the swimming pool was really nice, but really cold (after awhile its ok).
The beach was lovely, apart from the men constantly asking you if you want to buy sunglasses or bracelets, they do go away when you say no. The sauna isnt very good though, worst sauna ive been in.

For a day out i went to Zoo Marine, which i Recommend everyone to go to! The dolphins and seals are absolutely amazing, you will not be disappointed. Its a lovely day out :) the food and drink there is also reasonable. The swimming pool, the 4d cinema & the rides are all included in the price.

I recommend for anyone to stay at Clube Praia Da Oura, i love it there so much that ive not even been back 2weeks yet and i have already booked next years holiday, and im going for 4 weeks because i love it that much there :)

Portugal is amazing :) Albuferia is amazing :) you will have a lovely time :)

I give it 10/10 :)

Booked this as an extra holiday with RCI and was concerned about mixed reviews, the resort itself was very 70's in appearance, but had nice public areas and a lovely swimming pool.

The apartment was roomy with a lovely view over the bowling green and the fantastic cosy Oura beach, with it's fine soft sand and gentle waves.

The weather in March was hot, the area green and lush, cutting a beatiful picture.

Albufeira can be what you want, if you want a livly time then there is the much vaunted strip, if you want a quiet holiday then stay away from the strip and visit the many beaches and restaurants available.

Overall we found the Algarve nicer and friendlier than Spain, the Atlantic was much more to our liking than the flat med.

Had a great time at the CPO, even tho it was raining when we got there! The hotel is lovely and clean, compliments to the cleaning staff who are working all day in that heat and doing a great job. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a studio room 326 and we had a pull out bed!! which at first we wernt happy about! But when we thought about it,it was ok because we wouldnt be spending that much time in it anyway. And the view from this room was lovely overlooking the sea and just a few steps away from the beach. Theres lots of things to see and do! Try the chinese next to the hotel called Happy House "yummy". A ten minute walk to the strip were there are lots of pubs, shops and a NODDY Train as i call it which if you get on it takes you to old town, lovely cobbled streets, lots of resturants and more shops its great! A beautiful place well worth a visit! Im going to book again for next year! loved it.

This was our 2nd visit to these apartments, on arrival we requested a room in K block, having stayed there before we knew that the rooms had proper beds as oppose to the pull out ones. My only niggle was that the room we got was next to a noisy, busy road, so sleep quaility wasn't good. The rooms are very well equipped including a good hair dryer, ironing board and iron. The cleaning services are very good, maid service 3 times a week. The complex itself is so well kept. Its a beautiful base for a holiday, loads of surperb views. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas and its a lovely half an hour stroll into the main part of Albufeira either via cliff walking and along the sea or there are a couple of less scenic routes. I think maybe you need to be quite fit to stay in this area as there are alot of hills around. The complex has loads of steps which may also be unsuitible for some people. All in all its a lovely base for a holiday, anybody who gives a bad review must be extremely hard to please. They even do trips out at a discounted rate. The security is excellent.
