Amazing hotel with amazing service and such lovely friendly kind people!

The photos on their website are nothing like the amazing real life picture.

To keep it simple:

It's architecture is beautiful, stylish, and modern!
Their are 6 pools (2 inside, 2 outside the hotel, 1 outside the apartments, and a cute kiddies pool)
An amazing spa, gym, and classes.
The buffet breakfast is the best buffet breakfast I've ever had and everything tastes so fresh!
There is an amazing top restaurant which could be Michelin star with a lovely man to look after you called Diego!
The rooms are so lovely and constantly been cleaned and they leave you special chocolates and a little mat by your bedside.
The seaside walk is very dramatic and beautiful as well as the pine forest walks and view!
Great for couples, families, and children and baby friendly.

It's perfect for a relaxation recoup break!

We will definitely come back!

The only thing they didn't have was face cloths to wash your face, pregnancy massage on the massage menu at the spa, and the beds were two singles pushed together instead a double bed but otherwise it was the best recoup break!

Room Tip: A room with outside table and chairs either facing the pool or facing the pine forest.

Just returned for a week at Epic Sana. It was just fab but it all depends what you are looking for. We wanted a quiet, modern, in a good location and Epic Sana ticked all the boxes.
The hotel is brand new, opened one year ago so it's in perfect conditions. The design is very modern and just exceptional. You have a good spa, indoor pool ( quite small and shallow but was just perfect for my 6y old), outdoor pools (one minus here, the pools are nice but sadly not heated so you have to be top brave to dive in icy water), direct access to a beautiful beach.
The buffet restaurant (lovely design again) offered a very nice selection both at breakfast and dinner. The food is very nice. We did not get to try the gourmet restaurant as was not opened every nights so we missed that.
We stayed in a deluxe ocean view room, which is of decent size (for 2 people), very comfy super king bed, lots of storage. Some can find weird the bath and bathroom arrangements (a bit crowded) but nice touch. Room was quiet and very well cleaned every day. We tried once room service - which was very good. Came quickly, nicely presented and good food.
The hotel is quiet and the surrounding areas do not have much. So if you're looking for entertainment - it's not the place. The kid club was also quiet. We only used it half a day and there was nothing much for the kids done except leaving them to paint and do some play dough. Not sure if this was a one off or this is the norm. In any case, this did not disturb us as we were not planning to use the club more.
Services have been great everywhere. Very helpful staff. You can tell some are new and overall the hotel team is still forming but all people were smiley, and very pleasant.
So a great stay for us and we will certainly return

I had a wonderful stay at Epic Sana for this Easter weekend. The resort itself is just amazing, it is very well located near Albufeira in central Algarve at 30mn drive from Faro International airport and one can go very easily from one side of the Algarve to the other from there.
you can find all the facilities you need from the restaurants, outdoor pools, direct access to the beach, kids club, 24h access to the gym & indoor pool, spa and a large conference center ideal for weddings and business meetings & conferences.
The menus for each restaurant have a large variety of choice and the food is just fresh, delicious and authentic. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, their signature restaurant opens and offers a gastronomic Portuguese cuisine, a must to experience. The landscape is just beautiful, all very green with so many flowers and pine trees which mixed with the air of the sea brings an amazing smell of nature and relaxing environment.
I also had the most fantastic massage at the Spa. The staff is very friendly, polite and professional and the general manager is the most adorable person to meet with, he will always have a word with his clients and make sure they have their time of their lives. The access to the beach is breathtaking.
I highly recommend this resort either it is for a short stay or a long stay. You get addicted to this place very quickly. I just came back to London and I have already booked again my next stay there in two weeks from now. This is now my second home and I can't wait to go back:)

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful but my favorite ones are the villa suites

Our experience was superb. From the minute we arrived, to the minute we left, we were treated with great courtesy. Any minor problems we had were rectified, almost immediately,by the hotel staff. They were all pleasant, helpful and committed to providing a 5 star experience. We attended the wine tasting and the gin workshop. These were really enjoyable and the hosts ensured we were fully involved in the sessions. We booked a table at the restaurant, for the 3 nights it was open, and were not disappointed by the food and service. Breakfasts were wonderful and over the 11 nights that we stayed the evening menu got better and better. The cook to order service, in the restaurant,is great and meant that for breakfast and dinner, you had an opportunity to have a great choice of freshly cooked produce. The cocktail bar was lovely and the expert bar staff ensured we tried a whole range of drinks including the local brandy. We took a taxi to Albufeira, organised by the reception staff. It was a high quality private firm, less than 3 euros more than the local taxi we used to return. Very classy. Our stay was just before the high season. The hotel was relatively quiet, but the location is tranquil, relaxing and we thought, perfect. We are already planning our return trip.

Room Tip: We had a great pool view room on the second floor- the sea view rooms on the fourth floor are reall...

We have just returned from our stay at the Epic Sana Algarve. I wanted to love this hotel and if only judging the appearance of the hotel and the food - I certainly did and would give it 5 stars. However this hotel has it wrong in so many ways, which was a big disappointment when paying so much.

Having stayed in many 5 star establishments I am usually very impressed by service however this certainly was not the case with the Epic Sana. From the correspondence a week before we arrived, the girl was rude and unhelpful, not bothering to actually read the emails.

When we arrived we had requested a bath, as our 3 year old hates showers, however on arrival we were shown to a room without a bath, after waiting an hour to see if we could change rooms we were told that the hotel was full (we later found out it was at 18% capacity for the week and most certainly not full - some days we hardly spotted other guests) and the only room we could move to would cost us an extra 140 euros per night, so not a great start. We then requested a cot, as this was not in the room - this took 5 hours to come, many phone calls later and a very grumpy 3 year old 2 hours late to bed, not great.

On leaving we checked out the night before, however we gently pointed out our bill was wrong...this then took 40 minutes to sort and when we asked what had happened they stated their fault, but obviously no apology.

Leaving the hotel at 5.45am the next day I got a phone call from reception, which was a good 10 min walk from where we were staying telling us we had to drop off our key card, I pointed out this was why we organised to be picked up outside our suite and why we checked out the night before - however again the man was very rude and kept insisting this needed to be done? I could go on, but won't as I know this will start to sound picky - I really do feel customer service is important when paying a lot for 5 star and something this hotel is most certainly lacking.

The hotel was very quiet so no real atmosphere, to us this was perfect as we got to relax, however a lot of other guests were not enjoying their stay due to this.

The 4 outdoor pools were freezing and rarely used. Again, why for a 5 star hotel with 4 pools not at least heat one of them? There was a lovely indoor pool - however who really wants to be indoors in lovely weather.

The poolside didn't have any waiter service, so the quickest and easiest option was to go to the local supermarket - not what you expect or want to do when relaxing. A lot of guests also talked about this.

Turn down service came between 10.30pm and 11pm every night, by which time a lot of people were asleep especially as this is meant to be a family hotel and most guests had children under 10? Not great to wake up to a maid in your room if you forget to put the do not disturb sign on the door.

It is the first hotel I have ever had to pay a euro for room coffee and tea.

On a plus side the food was fantastic and restaurant staff wonderful. Especially Diego. A great selection and felt very healthy. Although only had the choice of the buffet during the week a sit down menu is available Thursday to sunday. It was closed the rest of the time.

Another plus the beds were very comfortable and rooms quiet (although with more guests staying this might not be the case)

I really did want to love this hotel and I am sure, in time, this will be a great hotel, however it really needs staff training and a lot of things ironed out before it can be classed as a 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: Not applicable with this hotel as they are so unhelpful they are unlikely to fulfil your request.

As the hotel is so new it is still very clean and the staff are all well presented and were very helpful. There was a huge conference on for our first couple of days but it didn't interrupt our stay at all as they kept to themselves.
We were one of the very few other guests staying in the hotel so it meant the pool snack bar was closed, the buffet restaurant only served breakfast (which had good variety but the hot food section was barely hot, cold baked beans aren't pleasent) and the a la carte restaurant had one set menu which we didn't like any of, so we had to resort to room service as part of our 30 euro a day food allowance or go out the hotel to eat which was a shame as it was an extra expense when we had already paid for half board! The drinks were a bit expensive compared to other places we've been.
It also meant there was not much of an atmosphere for you to mingle with other guests and enjoy the holiday experience, we just felt like it was us and the hotel staff in a big white building.
The outdoor pool isn't heated so at this time of year we couldn't use it however the indoor pool was lovely and warm but a bit to shallow for our liking. Didn't try the spa so can't comment on that.
The rooms are great!! We paid for a sea view and that's definitely what we got. The rooms have an open plan bathroom/bedroom style but can be sectioned off with the sliding doors so it felt spacious but sociable for you and your companion in the room. There is free Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speaker system to connect to your phone/mp3 player, flat screen TV, tea/coffee facilities and mini bar but they do charge you for each tea bag used etc, superking size bed, bathrobe and slippers, toiletries, hair dryer, rainfall huge shower head and the bath has plenty of room for a nearly 6ft tall person to lie comfortably in it.
It is a beautifully decorated hotel and very modern style and I'm sure in the summer when there are a few more people there it would really show off how good the facilities are.
The location is a little out the way with just a couple of restaurants and a mini supermarket just outside the hotel. However you can get down to the beach by a direct access staircase (151 steps) from the hotel gardens and walk along the beach for about 45 mins to a slightly bigger village in Olhos de Agua with more shops and food places or a taxi from the hotel to Albufeira old town is about 12 euros.

Stayed here as the truck driver on a conference... But what a fantastic hotel given a beautiful room with a sea view.. There's not many hotels with baths that an 18st 6 footer can stretch out in.. Plus a seperate shower that was very power full with a rainfall head. Everything here is to a very high standard.. But a big thank you to all the staff who are so warm and friendly and a real joy nothing was to much trouble and always with a smile..
