Spent a week all inclusive with my family very disappointed as the hotel is rated 4 star definitely not a 4 star! Food was of very poor standard, same breakfast and lunch options every day! Food cold, also seemed to run out of food and would have to wait for more. Only pizza, hotdog and sandwiches for snacks staff refused to toast sandwiches unless you paid! Two pools with bars but one bar was shut for 3 days due to weather staff said.meaning to get a drink at the large pool had to go to other bar at smaller pool for drinks and snacks, not an easy task when you have to walk upstairs, downstairs, through reception to get to other bar. Pool area at large pool very dirty, mouldy sun loungers.pool area never cleaned from what we saw. when drinks were spilled in the afternoon one day when reported to bar staff we were told it would be cleaned up when pool shut at 6pm! Many staff were rude to myself and many other guests due to being all inclusive, seemed to only be pleasant to customers paying with cash! Hotel was a bus or taxi ride away from old or new town, hotel did provide a bus which said to book a day before which I did and it took two day to get it booked as fully booked, not surprising as they ran a small mini bus which only held 6 people!Only bonus about this hotel were the rooms and entertainment staff! I would say Luna Alpinus is a 3 star hotel never a 4 star.

Just spent 4 nights all inclusive at this hotel and couldn't have asked for a better stay. Lovely food, drink, staff and facilities. The rooms are very spacious and cleaned everyday to a high standard as is the rest of the hotel. The old town is well worth a visit, you can get there by using the free bus provided by the hotel.......but do book it in advance as it does get booked up quickly!

we have just returned from a one week stay at the alpinus and have nothing but good things to say about our stay, we stayed in a one bedroom apt and were very pleased by the size ,the contents and the cleanliness, a number of bars restaurants shops nearby, 20 minute walk to the beach or free shuttle from the hotel, we weren't all inclusive but found snack bar prices reasonable if you are thinking of spending time round the pool get up early or you may miss out on a lounger , we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

W e stayed for one week in a self catering apartment. At Check in the staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was extremely spacious and furnished with good comfortable settee and chairs. A nice bedroom with good wardrobe space and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was large and well maintained. Basic cooking facilities but again sufficient for most needs. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were also supplied daily. The swimming pool areas were also very good although there was not much space available between sunbeds which could feel a little claustrophobic. This could be alleviated with the removal of the ban on taking sunbeds onto the grass. The shuttle service was good and well organised rides being available to and from Falesia beach or down to the strip and Old town in Albufiera. The walk down to the beach is mainly downhill and ends with a steep set of wooden steps to the sand. This is a challenge to anyone with walking difficulties, A bonus is a number of bars and restaurants at the half way stage. The restaurants do serve good food at very reasonable prices. House wine is 6.50 euro and main courses between 8 -15 euro.
The only downfall of the hotel was drinks are served in plastic glasses and there were no nice seating areas as such. That took the edge of drinks at the hotel. Any husbands brave enough can take their golf clubs and play the Pine Cliffs golf course which is opposite the hotel.
All in all It was excellent value and a place where I would not hesitate to visit again

Room Tip: Taxis to the beach are around 4 Euro. The last returning hotel shuttle from old town etc is at 8 pm...

Stayed there for 1 week on all inclusive basis. Rooms could not be faulted as spacious and spotlessly clean. Food very acceptable and always some dishes to suit everyone. Staff helpful and smiley. Pool and surroundings fine with towels provided for the sunbeds on payment of refundable deposit. Sole complaint was the noise from the animation team who thought they were appearing on a stage all the time with music blasting out. To be fair management turned down the loudspeakers after we had complained. But if you want a quiet holiday, this hotel is classified as a family one which is not advertised enough as entertainment solely for children went on until sometimes after 10pm which made it very difficult to sit in the bar after dinner for a coffee etc and hear yourselves speak as nowhere else to sit.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have the afternoon sun and a view over the golf course

Accomodation good but worst dining room ever experienced, kids running everywhere, poor choice of food, constant queuing. Shuttle bus never ran, reception staff rude, never any sunbeds available. Had to pay a deposit of 20 Euros to obtain a remote control for the tv!! Worst hotel I've ever stayed at and wouldn't return. Anybody considering booking, don't do it!!
