The best way to book an appartment in our opinion is by hotelopia (spanish agency) if you want to stay only for one night. Other agencies reduce price if stay is for longer.
We stay sometimes there for a wine evening in A Casa do Avó.
Sometimes we get a good appartment, sometimes it's less.
The first visites we were in block 4 (pool view) and it was very good. Last time we booked by another agency and it was a disaster. Now in September we booked by Hotelpoia again and we got a good appartment again. Only problem, no tampon for the bath, but could be found.
Booking directly with Jardins Vale de Parre is more expensive, but myabe they give the best what they have.
Unfortunately for us beds are hard every where but others like it.
With the pillows it's a question of luck.

Room Tip: Avoid road side.

We have just returned from our fifth visit to this accommodation. Due to late booking we were unable to book a pool view. However, as regular customers staying for 10 nights we expected them to look after us with a pleasant apartment. I phoned reception the day before arrival to tell them we would be arriving after midnight due to flight times. Whilst on the phone I asked if they had a nice room for us this year. Yes a room with a balcony but no pool view came the reply - you tell us if there are any problems. On arrival we were shown to a first floor apartment in block three. At 3am we awoke to hear the refuse truck emptying the bins on the opposite side of the road, then at 7am a refrigerated van delivering in the lay-by outside. We went to reception in the morning asking nicely for something a little quieter as we were also very near the bar which opens until 2am. We were shocked by the attitude of the reception staff with replies such as - we are fully booked - you booked a standard room - you have what you paid for - all rooms on the road side are equally noisy - you should have chosen the other room with no balcony which we offered, now another guest has this (I don’t recall being given any choice). On the second night, Saturday, our children were kept awake by Karaoke in the bar. On the Monday the glass bank opposite the room was emptied in the small hours of the morning. All the different bins were emptied separately with loud bangs and crashes on various nights. We again asked politely for another room - same response (fully booked - that is what you paid for). In my business I treat my regular customers well because their repeat custom and referrals help me to succeed. Sadly not the case at Jardins Vale de Parra this year. On a positive note it is still a nice clean complex and very relaxing around the pools. We also discovered the new "Docaria Almeixar" cafe/restaurant which was fantastic and well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Always book a pool view and never chance a standard which is only around 15% cheaper in any event.

Nice complex. Wifi in reception a wind up! Much too slow. Found out on the last day that if you stand at the reception desk its much better but there are other options. We found Amigo's at the Littrus Bar much faster. Was there 5th to 15th May.....very quiet and out of season. But, all the restaurants were open and there is a good variety. Agree with other reviewer....Cabanitas excellent brekkie for €4 and super fast wifi. Amigo's at the Littrus bar on the complex under new ownership. Run by Eithne a lovely Irish lady and Nicola. Have TV's and sky sports, ESPN etc. They will also be running the pool bar in the season. Wifi in there is the best around too. Apartments nice, clean and have most of what you need. Balcony too noisy overlooking the road with lorries motorbikes and dustcarts. Dustbins are emptied at about 4am!! I heard them about every other night but I am a light sleeper. The beaches locally are beautiful but a car is needed ideally. Gale beach nearest...but try Sao Rafael its lovely. Most beaches have a cafe/bar and toilets. If you have a two bedroom and buggies and kids don't worry there are lifts from the car park to each floor. Earlier reviewer didn't mention lifts! We had a lovely time - especially because the complex was virtually empty - no sunbed issues for a start! Pool was very very cold....hope it warms up for you summer chaps! Great little supermarket opposite Amigo's sells most of what you need. Fabulous boat trip into the caves. Go to Albufeira marina and choose Belize by algor experience. It's a catamaran, toilets and a bar on board and they take a smaller boat to take you in and out of the caves in too. Weather was fab but rained on our last day. Apartment has air con, washer, aired, hob, microwave ( but no oven!!). We took our own mini DVD player too and plugged it into telly.

Room Tip: Take beach towels and hair dryer if u use one.....don't think they are provided.

Agree with most of what's been said before. Unfortunately we picked the Portuguese kids' holiday season and, whilst it did not spoil the holiday, we had far too many youngsters in the pool for our liking - they don't know how to do 'quiet', bless 'em. That to one side, the apartment was more than comfortable, the maid service excellent and the handyman (we had a broken door lock) attentive. I suspect that they will have a quieter season - check before you book if that's what you want. Surrounding area good for restaurants. Cabanitas is first class - we went for the footie (the beer, the food and the company all helped!). The Italian restaurant is about 15minutes walk westwards from the central roundabout - so good we went three times in two weeks! Slow pace of life is to be welcomed. Go and enjoy!

We had a week here in July and really enjoyed the hotel. The apartment was very clean and very big it had two adult pools and a small childrens pool. Their are lots of nice resturants in walking distance. The beach is quite far away (took us 30 mins or so, but we had a three year old walking and a 1 year old in a pushchair, so we werent waliking that fast) but it is worth the treck as the beachs are all lovely.
if your looking for a quiet relaxing holiday with lots of good food on offer then we recommend it if you after a lively holiday then its not really for you as we didn't notice any bars around.

If you want a break that has good restaurants in easy walking and local bars without the hedonism of albuferia strip, then this is a really good choice. Yes, the beach is more than a good walk away and albuferia is a 10 euro taxi ride, but on the plus side it is fairly quiet, especially out of season and there are a good number of local restaurants that offer great value and service. Look no further than Sao Domingo's, girassol, casa da carne, o barca etc. cabinitas is a great local bar, that now does breakfast for 4 euros. Access to local golf courses is great, but you'll need to hire a car. Cabinitas has great wifi, so why bother with the reception one, it is slow, so enjoy it over the road with great friendly company.

Facilities show a pool bar - not open, childrens facilities - none other than very, very small pool, wifi internet - only available in reception and not good, gym - none, shown as albufeira - a good 40 minute walk to nearest beach and you could not walk to Albufeira - 20-25 minutes by car!!! Only a couple of bars and a hand full of restaurants within walking distance. On road that is noisy if you get an outside apartment. There is nothing to do at these apartments except use as a base and get a hire car. Two pools with sunbeds but bar not open and small childrens pool. Only have two bedroomed apartments on first floor so not convenience for families if you have pushchairs, etc., to carry, as well as toddlers. Find it difficult to say anything good other than apartments quite large and quite well equipped, although our balcony was pathetic - only a chairs width - and who wants to sit out looking at a road!! Beds very hard and uncomfortable.
