We stayed here for one week and it was the perfect base camp for Albufeira. The Marina with some nice bars and restaurants is on your doorstop for boat tours, footy, karting, quad hire and more. It's a 15-20 minute walk along the shore road into the old town but very scenic, great for exercise and walking off the big meals.

The apartments are very nice and colourful with an amazing pool, we had a ground floor studio apartment which was a decent size inside and clean with almost everything you need. The only gripes were the bed being a sofa-bed which wasn't comfy, more pillows too please, and we paid extra for a room with a pool view when booking but never got this despite it being the end of the season.

The red bus tour stops by outside and taxi's and buses are plentiful but you do have to walk round the long way through the car park to get in if you're arriving home walking after midnight. We also got dropped off at the wrong reception on arrival which is common apparently so head for Garvetur on the main road through the complex if you're looking for it although this will depend on how you booked.

Overall a lovely complex and pool with handy amenities including small shops but the supermarket is a little further past Castelo do Mar and up the hill behind it if you want a bigger shopping with Aldi/Lidl a taxi or bus/taxi or long walk away. Our apartment was only cleaned once while we were there, a few more things in the kitchen like washing up liquid would have been good.

A few friendly local cats live there and the local lads play football some evenings, fun to watch at the Marina astro-turf pitch after watching football at a Marina bar! If you want a good cheap and clean place to stay that's peaceful at night and don't mind the walk into town then it's highly recommended.

Albufeira is a brilliant, lively and friendly town with lots to see and do, great places to eat and drink and an amazing beach. We only wished we had better weather to enjoy the boat trips, water parks and more time at the amazing Orada pool.

What an amazing place, the people are beautiful, both inside and out. Location was impeccable and rooms are clean and comfortable. We were with a whole group of friends and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to head in to Faro, Albufeira. Close proximity to the local beach and watering holes. Villas are large and spacious and they have one hack on a pool.

A Lovely peaceful clean spacious multi coloured complex with a beautiful large pool with plenty of sun loungers and also a mini pool for small children, Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a snack bar located beside the pool. Free wifi in the reception area. We had a ground floor studio apartment very spacious with a separate kitchen. The apartment was cleaned each day. There was a free shuttle bus to the town centre and also to the beach. You could also walk to the beach which is 15 minute walk and 20 minutes to the old town centre. This walk takes in views of the marina and coastline views which are beautiful. The marina is across from the complex which has a one or two restaurants and a bar, nothing special really. There are daily boats trips from the marina to go dolphin watching, scuba diving. The old town is a must which is a hive of activity great atmosphere with lots of street entertainment and lively bars and restaurants. The two best restaurants we ate in were the Castelo do Mar which is just over a five minute walk from the complex. Excellent food the portion sizes were plentiful and the deserts were delicious, great service from very friendly staff, with beautiful sea views. One tip book a reservation otherwise you may have to wait a while for a table. www.casdomar.com .
The second restaurant is the Casa da Fonte again great food, great service from very friendly staff it is located in the old town. A great atmosphere with a retractable roof and a lemon tree growing in the centre of the restaurant. Two restaurants you must check out.

Room Tip: Room looking onto the pool.

First time to The Algarve, first time to Portugal, absolutely loved it, i just wished i went longer than the week.
These apartments are great, we had a family apartment on the ground floor which was ideal as my daughter who was one and a half at the time loved having the freedom of running in and out and playing on the lawn area. The Pool area is nice and peaceful.
The chap who runs the free shuttle to many loacalities including the town centre and beach is helpful and runs a good, free service.
The location of these apartments is in a quiet area with the Marina just a couple of minutes walk away, the marina has alot to offer at night when it comes to dining and drinking, with many places to eat and drink and watch the footie!, all this and a great view of all the boats and yachts in the marina.

Mixed reviews left us a little unsure, but glad we decided to come here (2 adults and 2 children 11 & 14).

On arrival i needed to see an emergency dentist that day and the English speaking receptionist arranged an appointment virtually immediately in the new hospital in Albufeira - couldn't have asked for more!

Apartments were large and spacious with decent kitchen. TV is small but does have limited UK channels. Cleaned daily and linen changed every 3 days which was fine for us.

Pool is great (and big) and as we tended to use it in the mornings and late afternoons, we never had any issues with umbrellas/sun beds.

Location was perfect for us - close to marina and walking distance from old town (6 euros in taxi). Distance from 'strip' worked for us as we tend to look for smaller/quieter locations.

Albufiera is a little tacky in parts but beaches are lovely and we found a few eateries which offered more than the standard English grub/piri piri chicken etc

The marina was fantastic. Although there were a few vacant lots, there are a few nice restaurants (Tasca was best). Also, this is where all the boat/dolphin watching/parasailing trips leave from.

The complex could have benefitted from a restaurant, though there is a small cafe which sells hot food/drinks/sweets/snacks etc.

As mentioned by others, it's a shame a welcome pack with soap/dishwasher tablets etc is not provided, but there is a shop 2 minutes away between marina and apartments (not sure why others had so much trouble finding it)

All in all, worked out well!

Room Tip: We had an apartment overlooking the pool which was great as we could dee if the loungers/umbrellas w...

We have always stayed in Hotels before but due to this trip being last minute and high season all hotels expensive and we had a very limited choice of what was available. What a great find these apartments were. We were a little put of by the colours outside thought they would be very old fashioned and like an old Butlins Holiday camp! On our arrival we were checked straight away and given advice on what was near and things to do. Firstly we were in a studio apartment which I thought would be quite small, It was huge with a seperate Kitchen and bathroom then We had an extremely large room with a bed cut of by a screen, also a large sofa, small tv (but this did have pretty good receiption with about 6 english channels bbc itv) table and chairs wardrobes ect. with sliding doors leading to balcony and a grass area, Pool area huge and although busy you could always get sunbed and was very pleasant to sit and read book or swim. There is a small supernarket near to apartments but found it extremely expensive, There is a shuttle bus running four times a day which is great you can go LIDL or Modelo stock up and come back on Next shuttle. They are a little further out from the old town but once you get used to walk its not too bad about 15min and doesnt seem that long coming back. Because they are across from Marina you have restaurants nearby with amusements for children. Apartments are cleaned very day although I personally would of prefered if they were cleaned earlier in day ours wasnt cleaned til about 5pm each day. ALL in ALL though a really lovely palce to stay and extremely clean and spacious would highly recommend.

6 of us stayed in a 3 bed apartment for a chilled out hen do and to be honest we could have fit double that in there with blow up beds. These are the largest apartments I have stayed in on holiday, 2 floors, functioning kitchen with all the mod cons (dishwasher, washing machine etc) each bedroom had a balcony and so did the living room which had a big 6 seated dining table, there were 3 bathrooms all with baths and showers. Ours overlooked the pool which was equally massive!! Maid changed beds and towels twice over 4 days. We could not fault these at all!! Be aware though that there was no nightlife in the complex the pool bar closed at 8pm, we ate here every day, the food was ok and was reasonably priced, the lady who ran the bar and took the food orders was lovely.

Location: a short 5 min walk across the road there's a little marina you can take trips from and some nice restaurants and salsa dance bars, also some activities for children, i.e. trampoline and quad bikes etc. A little out of the way from the night life but only a 5 euros taxi ride from Old Town which was absolutely lovely, beautiful restaurant's, quaint little cobbled streets with market sellers and live singers on, ideal for family's and those wanting some night life but nothing cheesy, as their were some very nice cocktail bars. 6 euro taxi ride to the strip (cheesy/party central) ideal for stag and hen do's,
We are all ready planning our return!! .
