Well, we must agree with most of the previous reviews, the staff especially in the restaurant are second to none, very helpful and attentive which makes the holiday experience far more enjoyable,i think if we break this into separate areas, which we think is important, as all have very different features and some negatives. We stayed in late September, where most of the holidaymakers were above 40 and were enjoying a relaxing break. This hotel is not for young couples , i think they would want more activity than this hotel offers
Hotel Room
Are very clean and spotless and serviced daily,The room was nothing spectacular, but had all the basic needs that were required and we had a balcony that overlooked the pool, which was a night touch. For UK TV addicts, there is only Sky News and BBC 1 available in the room
Restaurant
As we were at the Hotel for a week, the selection was good with variable selection at breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a fish fan, most nights we had grilled fresh fish which was excellent, there was also a selection of chicken and meats for your main course for dinner and lunch. However, we both felt the food a little repetitive after about 3 days and we had a few Ground Hog Day experiences, i think you would definately struggle on a two week stay.
The dining tables are now postioned over the bridge to the pool which is very nice for a romantic meal for two
Pool Area
This is run with almost military efficiency ( which we didnt mind ). The pool was cleaned from early morning and a member of staff walks the area throughout the day clearing tables of glasses etc and ensures that everyone has a hassle free time sunbathing
The pool itself was very cold and not for the fainthearted , and only a few sunbathers braved the waters to cool down and everyone had the same expression on their face once they entered the water !!
The Main Bar
Firstly, the chap ( who we named Brendan off the UK tv show Coach Trip ) was very good at his job, served you quickly and efficiently and was always available to serve
The drinks were named brands, which was fine but we didnt receive any smirnoff vodka or gordons gin, which had been mentioned in previous reviews.
Only negative point, was he never smiled and it appeared every drink you ordered on the all inclusive was being taken out his wages,
The bar was full of 40 plus holidaymakers and some local Portuguese who come down to watch the football in the evenings Also, this is very much a Portuguese Sports Bar and in the evenings only, No UK Sky Sports being shown during the day or the evenings, if you wish to catch up on this, you will have to visit the local old town to view the football,
This is about a 20 minute walk , at a decent pace !!
Surrounding area
The beach is tailor made for young familes and is safe with all the lifegaurds in attendance to meet any needs. Some coffee shops are available to look over the beach and have a break from the sun. The cove beach itself is about half a mile long and is very clean, with it being swept every morning
Old Town
As mentioned before , this is about 20 mins away walking and has plenty of different bars and restaurants if you wish to change to your Hotel enviroment
Vilamoura
This costs about 4 euros each for the bus and is an excellent day out with all the various bars and restaurants at th harbour. Just watch, the buses finish at 8pm in the evening
Plenty of available taxis thou !

just returned from the BM 06/10/11. hotel is spotless with lovely pool area which is a good size and also very clean. food was ok and you will always find something that suits you with snacks between main meals which were decent enough,we sometimes skipped main meals and just had a snack as all you seemed to do was eat all the time!we were AI so plenty to drink as well but it was not all branded.ask for bud or carlsberg bottles as most people dont know that they have them.but over all its a nice hotel and very relaxing.no entertaiment at night which was fine by me and the strip is only a 2 min taxi ride away if you want music, noise and lights.4 euro cab fare and 6 to 7 euro to albufeira old town which is much better than the strip with a lot more life about it.weather was fantastic while we were there.i would go there again no problem and would highly recomend it.

Room Tip: ask for pool view

Just back today from BM - a great week. Weather fantastic, staff attentive (though English was hopeless) and food surprisingly good. We took AI option and thank the Lord for that. Everything at lunch and evening meal was freshly cooked so if you're a meat eater - fill your boots. Wait for the menu to be brought though, as the stuff in the middle is a bit dodgy to be fair. All the spirits were branded - don't let them fob you off with the local cack. Rooms were extremely basic but clean and cleaned daily. The pool - oh my word... fffrreeezzzing! Dip your toe in and you're in for chillblains! And the worst thing about the BM - as has been alluded to several times already - it's deathly quiet. We are talking library quiet. If you're taking kids, hard luck! If either or both are from the Kevin & Perry academy, you're in for a tough stay! Mind you, 10 euros return will get you a taxi to where it's at. Altogether though, £400 each for a week's AI with some fine food and drink was exceptional value. Recommended!

Although you can stay here all inclusive we opted for the bed and breakfast package and were delighted with the result. This small and extremely friendly hotel is hidden from view of the adjoining main route into Albufeira by the apartment blocks that form an intergal part of this complex. However the hotel provides an ideal base for those wishing easy access to the lovely near-by beaches whilst also giving you some peace and quite if you wish it. The whole place is kept very clean and the staff helpful and welcoming. It has a homely feel about it and although the rooms are not overly spacious they are well tended and our particular room came with balcony which gave us access to the sun from early morning to sunset.

The breakfasts were again excellent and exceeded our expectations. Continential or cooked breakfast can be feasted upon if you desire it. Plenty of fresh fruit and juices to be had, sadly the only fault one could find was the morning coffee. Maybe it was an accquired taste but one I had no wish in accquiring! However the nearby supermakets can help the coffee addicts with a wide selection of instant (good quality) coffees with which to brew your own.

The reception staff are to be commended, without exception they were on the ball and always willing and pleased to ensure your stay was both enjoyable and trouble free. For a nominal fee they would call the taxi's to take you wereever you wished. The taxi's were both reliable and relatively cheap (although this is not a cheap country to holiday.) The staff also can help you get the the best rental deals and speaking excellent English are pleased to do the bookings as well. All in all a recommended place to stay if you are looking to chill-out but still want easy access to some night-life and excitment.

Finally the pool, it was great for swimmers. Cleaned everyday morning whilst we enjoyed an early breakfast on the surrounding terraces, it was a real delight to swim in.Plenty of room for the keen swimmer and for those that just wanted to cool of. A childrens pool is also provided but no lifeguards are on duty.

Room Tip: Ask for the quiet rooms, they come with a balcony.

stayed at this hotel 3/09/2011 first impression - staff were very welcoming and helpfull, showed us to our room which had a large balcony over looking the pool area which was exactly what we asked for. We asked for extra pillows and they arrived straight away, We reported a fault with the electric socket and a electrician was sent straight away and fixed it. The food and snacks could not be faulted, even the fizzy drinks were branded. It was only a 20 minute walk to the strip. The rooms were cleaned every day (very good job they did to).You might say the only downfall was the lack of entertainment at night.

Room Tip: ask for rooms 31-36 pool facing sun most of the day
