We stayed here for a week in June and had been warned by Thomas cook that noisy work being carried out and were wary but a lot of nonsense yes some work being done but under hotel and did not know there until told this place is ideal location to super beach of same name close to Strip which personally not our cuppa of tea but great cake shop at top of street restaurant opposite Casa ? And also sizzling stone Approx 5 min walk all in all would not hesitate to return again pool great and lovely gardens with sun beds etc spot on

My partner and I have just returned from these apartments booked as a late deal due to typical Scottish bad weather. Was a bit concerned when heard there was building work going on in the basement, with an indoor pool and restuarant being built but we never heard much noise. Apartments were clean and spacious with well equipped kitchen, spacious lounge with TV and free Air Con. The bedroom was also spacious with very comfortable large twin beds with memory foam mattresses and pillows. Staff were all very friendly but non intrusive and maids cleaned apartments every day. Bed linen changed weekly but more if required. The pool and the surrounding area was spotlessy clean and there were plenty of sun beds. The only disappointing thing I found was there was a lack of parasols around the pool but hopefully this will improve. The lovely Santa Eulalia beach was a 10 minute walk and other beaches could be reached by walking a rugged coastal path, but not recommended for the infirm. The strip was a 10 minute walk away which was full of restuarants and bars very lively and catered more for the young. Teasers bar was a 2 minute walk from the apartments which served lovely food especially English breakfasts. If you want to try something a bit different, then visit the Sizzling Stone restuarant which can be found just before you reach the strip. The food was amazing, which was brought out on a stone that you cooked yourself, bibs were provided. All in all great holiday

After initially reading mixed reviews about the hotel we were very unsure what to expect. A very short transfer time from Faro airport. On arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome. Our room was clean, tidy and contained everything we would need for our weeks stay. Cleaners visited every day and alternated linen and towel changes. The kitchen was small but perfectly equipped. The air con was free and worked a charm. The pool area was quiet and great for people not confident with swimming. About a ten minute walk from the strip and the nearest beach is about half an hour walk (10 minute 2 euro max bus ride ) from the scenic old town. Staff were very helpful and when the cleaner broke out door fixed it within half an hour. Great holiday!!!

Room Tip: This is based on staying in a one bedroom studio in June, could possibly be slightly busier in July...

I have just returned from these apartments which we booked for my hen weekend. Was shocked to say the least when we opened the door to find a very modern newly refurbished apartment. We stayed in a two bedroom which was massive with Plasma tv's in each room and each room had its own bathroom with a massive lounge area. Some of the other girls in my party were in studios which were also fab and very roomy. I cannot praise these apartments more we were all over the moon with them. They are also very clean and we had maid service even though we were only there for 3 nights.

They are based a ten min walk from the strip so perfect location. You can also walk to the beach from here.

We had the best weather and the best weekend in the Algarve, one i'll never forget!

Will defo be returning and recommending these apartments to everyone who asks!

Me and my partner have just got back from the santa eulalia beach club and i must say we had a great time. We stayed here for 3nights and found the apartments to be lovely.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were big and spacious. A safety deposit box was in the room, with a deposit of 15 euro and then 3euro a day.
The pool area was lovely and clean with extra sunbathing space on the gardens.
The hotel is very close to "the strip" approx 10minute walk and is also close to a variety of restaurants. There is a pub/bar right next to the hotel called teasers which is cheap and cheerful.
Overall i would definately recommend this hotel and found it to be a great last minute deal.

We go to Albufeira a few times every year and have stayed here a lot. Great appartments with lots of room even the studios are big and have a sliding door so u can shut your selves away if there is anyone sleeping in the lounge area. Its very clean and modern cleaners come round every day and towels and sheets are done often, staff r great really helpfull and friendly. The bar is nice too everthing u need not to expencive they also do snacks. Always happy to go back and stay here, love it also close to strip and beaches but no noise.

Room Tip: Get pool view so u get the sun on balcony. If only two or three people just get a studio they are ch...

My husband, 2 year old son and I have just returned from 6 days staying at the Santa Eulalia. We booked through Monarch holidays and arrived in our hire car at 11am expecting to leave our bags and return to check in at the official time, however our room was available straight away which was a real bonus. Apartment was large, bright and clean and they bought a cot up immediately after we requested one which was a bit old fashioned but did the job ok.

We paid £15 to rent a safety deposit box and also gave a deposit of £15 for a fob to get access to the secure carpark which was really useful. Reception staff were efficient and spoke good English.

Apartment was room 320 on the top floor which overlooked the pool (empty due to cold wet weather) and had no rooms next door on either side. I could hear noise from the room below (group of teens I think) but nothing a pair of earplugs couldn't block out.

The kitchen was quite basic, but had a toaster, microwave, kettle, 2 halogen rings, a fridge and a filter coffee maker. The bedroom was separated by sliding doors which were really heavy and loud which wasn't ideal when the little one was asleep and we were trying to get in to go to bed.

We had a big flat screen TV but the only English channels we had were ITV1 and Channel 4. Normally we wouldn't care but it was constantly raining so we spent much more time in the room than we wanted to. Other people we met there had BBC channels as well, so I think it depends which room you are in.

Cleaner came every day to clean and change towels (didn't always change the beds).

Pool area looked good but due to the weather no-one used it the week we stayed (1st week of April 2012). We were disappointed that the Monarch Holidays website says that it has an indoor pool as this was closed and according to some of the long term residents only opens once in a blue moon.

Out and about, we liked the Santa Eulalia beach (turn left out of hotel then take first right - very steep hill so we took the car) and also the Praia de Oura though it took a while to find it!

We had lovely meals at Casa Velha over the road and at Paulu's Pizzeria who do lovely fresh pasta dishes. There were lots of bars selling pretty decent full english breakfasts for about $3-6 such as Coyotes and Teasers.

Old Town was lovely - 40 minute walk or you can get the road train near the strip. We ate at A Ruina in the cliffside which did amazing fish (no menu you just go to the kitchen and choose your fish) but very expensive - the 3 of us shared an ample sized Turbot which cost €60 including veg and potatoes.

We found everywhere to be really child friendly - all had highchairs and kids menus and always bought the kids meals out first.

We drove to various towns - Portimao (inside shopping mall on the wettest day!), Alte and Silves. We also went to Krazy Zoo which was definitely not crazy (a few goats and sheep you can feed, a random alligator and not a fat lot else) and to Monchique in the mountains.

Overall the accommodation and resort were great but the terrible weather meant we didn't have much to do as everything round there is outside. I think in Summer it would be full of groups of teens though, so perhaps May or September would be the best time to visit.
