Took a daytime walk up to Erin's Isle.... Thought we'd grab a cool beer and some much needed stodge for lunch...... But no Irish dishes on the menu except Irish breakfast. Decided on fish and chips but no fish so chip butty it was!
Stayed for another beer sitting on the outdoor bench, saw the fish arrive - frozen so glad we didn't pay for the overpriced fish and chips.
On going to toilet had to pass through what looked like a nice lounge. Decided the chip butty, cool beer, free wifi and average atmosphere wouldn't bring me back up the hill for a night time visit. ...the surrounding area to the rear looks like a demolition site and wouldn't want to wander there at night

Went to this place a couple of nights ago.I was totally shocked by the singers who started singing Christmas songs and asked the patrons to stand up join hands and wish ye other a Happy Christmas. They must think we have no intelligence at all.If that was done in the month of May to any other nationality ye would be booed off,and to add insult to injury the guy on stage was a staff member,I hope ye realise that there are intelligent Irish people who expect to be treated as any other nationality not like morons. If that's what ye class as entertainment ye must have a very little respect for the Irish,

My partner is Irish, and whenever we go on holiday it has become a tradition that we try an Irish pub wherever we are staying.

Before I go on, I will say it was the start of the season, however some simple changes could have made this place work.

On arrival you enter into this huge cavernous area that has the feeling of a warehouse. When we got there there was only one other group in, and they were wrapping up to leave. As the bar is way out of town we thought we would at least have 1 drink and have dinner there as the menu looked to be good and it said home cooked food.

One thing that makes an Irish bar is being able to sit at the bar and chat to your fellow guests. This is not allowed here. So you have to sit on uncomfortable wooden benches. That rather killed the atmosphere.

We then headed up to the huge and empty dining room, and should have turned around and got in a cab.

On a good point, the staff are attentive, although we were at one point the only couple dining there. The food however is a different matter.

My partners starter looked like it was fresh out of a freezer bag from a budget supermarket, and mine was average putting it politely.

Main course of steak pie and salmon were a huge let down. The salmon did not taste fresh, the only good thing was the vegetables. My pie contained more salt than meat making it virtually inedible. Needless to say we left the dining room hungry and are both feeling the after effects the next day.

Just before we left we used the toilets, to get to these you have to walk through a cosy, air conditioned bar with comfy seating and what could be a lovely atmosphere. One suggestion that could make the place much better. Close the drinking warehouse and restaurant in the quiet season and use this lovely area instead for everything instead of having it closed. It would make such a difference. Oh, and less salt would be good too.

I have seen a few bad reviews and I am very shocked, myself and my friend had the best time in Erin's Isle. We have returned to Erin's Isle over the years and it never let us down. We are both mid 20s and out of our 2 week holiday we spent more a less every night in Erin's Isle.

We always's started our night here before heading down the strip, Erin's Isle provides great entertainment. Max is on the guitar and singing most nights and Ray also gets out from behind the bar and joins him playing the Bodhrán, never fails to get the crowd going. They also have a dancing show 2 nights a week and it is a really amazing show. They also have karaoke night's and a Michael Jackson Impersonator every week. It has something for everyone.

The best breakfast in Albufeira with out a doubt, really great bar food generous portions and the restaurant upstairs provides great food with fantastic service.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming, very helpful and never let your glass go empty. The cleanliness is great makes a change from most bars on the strip.

I really love this bar and have to say it made our holiday, I can not wait to return again next year.

We spent the most nights of our holiday in Erins Isle, we had dinner once which was beautiful, i had the battered cod (as good as any you'd find in an irish/italian chipper in dublin) michelle had the chicken which she said was lovely too, we had breakfast/lunch a couple of times through the week also and it was nice.

we loved the nights out here, the entertainment was usually great craic, from max taylor (fat scottish git) who was actually a great singer and great for a laugh with his one liners, to michael jackson tribute, who was a bit odd and freaky to start with but really got the crowd goin by the end, the karaoke was average, when the barman ray done it it was enjoyable but another guy comes in also and he was very poor, the dancers that came in were also very good, well worth seeing.

Onto the staff, from the first night we went in we found the staff very accomodating, sharp, witty and friendly, the floor staff always had your empties off your table and ash trays cleaned within minutes, always kept an eye on your drinks to make sure you wouldnt run out, (some people might not like this but i did, in the end of the day its better to have your drink topped up than wait 15 minutes for another pint!!) we had great fun with also and made a lot of new friends in the shape of the staff.

Price wise it is more expensive than some of the bars down the strip but the sagres E3 was lovely and its still cheaper compared to home, cocktails were expensive but this isnt a cocktail bar either! food was fairly reasonable prices also

all in all we had a great time and made some great friends, cant wait till next year to get back over again
