The owner was kind enough to meet us on the main road and lead us to the villa as we would never have found it otherwise. A lot of steep hills and a tight parking space/turning area so I would recommend this for the confident drivers out there.
The house was basic, but clean. The pull out bed was very uncomfortable. There were plenty of towels but only the bare minimum when it came to supplies - nothing to clean with, only one cloth for the kitchen no bin bags, washing up liquid or soap and literally one dishwasher tablet for each day. We were told that the cleaner would be in half way through our visit, but they never turned up.
We were also told that the pool would be cleaned once or twice, early in the mornings before we woke. The pool cleaner arrived during the day while we were swimming. I must add that the chemicals in the pool seemed particularly harsh as three of us broke out in a rash on the first day after swimming and the water seemed to have a lot of bleach in it. Some of the sun loungers had cracks in them so they made for an uncomfortable poolside bed.
If you're a light sleeper, note that there's a cockerel in the garden below as well as numerous dogs in the vicinity and these kept some of the party up at night.
Location wise, it's perfect if you have a car but if you're on foot you have a 30 minute walk to the Marina or Old Town. There was a nice restaurant just 8 minutes walk from the house which was really nice, and one or two cafes.
Although we were up a hill and out of town, we felt that the villa suited all of our needs. We were a group of 5 young guys so were happy walking everywhere. I would recommend a car for younger families or older people. We were a 10 minute walk to the marina. 15-20 minute walk to the Old Town. Most of the time we took a taxi to the Strip (€5).
Would definitely go here and use this accommodation again!
