Booked this Ibis because we had a late flight and wanted a hotel close to the Airport. It's in a lovely spot close to the airport and Faro. The ground were neat and well kept with loads if free parking available. The room was standard Ibis which is fine and they have the €6 breakfast if you want to eat there . I would recommend.

The beds in this hotel are wonderful – very comfortable – wish we could have stayed longer just for the bed comfort. The hotel is located a small distance outside of downtown Faro and near the airport about 5 or 6 euros. The hotel was quiet - the sound of planes was not a noise factor because of the tight double pane windows. The hotel interior is bright, inviting and mostly well maintained. The pool was nice and enjoyable in late October. The rooms were typical in size for a European hotel: adequate but not spacious. The ambiance is focus on contemporary not ancient and traditional. Food in the hotel is good, reasonable in price and available from 4 am to midnight. The bar is open 24 hours. The food offerings are called snacks at this hotel but they are more substantial in size and flavor. Breakfast at the hotel is typical European fare: breads, cheese, meats and various pastries that supplement the yogurt, cold cereals, fruits, lots of coffee made your way and fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and spoke English well as this is a hotel favored by travelers from the United Kingdom (England). On the down side the internet service was useless – adequate speed but very unstable: Ok for Email but do not try streaming anything or connecting to a news site and expect to view a news story video. Televisions were flat screens and they had several English speaking channels and other channels with US programs and Portuguese subtitles. We were there for two nights and three days and could have stayed a few more for the beds and great weather.

We have stayed at Ibis hotels many times and know what to expect - this one fell short in many ways - the most alarming was the condition of the toilet in our room which was stained , ran water continuously and had breaks in the seat that were positively disgusting. There were suspicious stains in the carpet outside the bathroom . We had booked six nights and left after only one. We had hoped to travel by bus to town each day but one trip on the first day left us in fear of our lives as the traffic on the N125 was horrendous and buses infrequent. Three taxi fares varied from 5 to 8.5 Euros. Breakfast was OK and the pool looked inviting .To be fair the staff were courteous and spoke good English and dealt with our early departure efficiently and with good grace. Proximity to the airport is its only saving grace.

Room Tip: ask to see it first if you can and look at the loo.

Good value for the modest price, but utterly lacking in charm and character. Fine for a one-night stay not far from the airport, but you certainly wouldn't want to stay a minute longer than necessary.

Comfortable bed, good sound-proofing.

Front-desk staff helpful and speak good English.

Food very limited.

Free Wifi connection just about adequate.
