I stayed one night in early march. the single room was small but very clean, with a little balcony looking down the street to the Atlantic. The bed was comfortable and there was a hair dryer and toiletries. There is a relaxing and attractive open air courtyard with a little fountain. The lounge area was comfy and tasteful. Only 4 small gripes. First, the liquid soap dispenser in the shower didn't work. second, the shower was in need of a revamp, third, the pillows are small and thin. But I asked for 2 more and got them promptly. fourth, the cafe which other reviewers rave about, was only offering toasties in the evening. I was hoping for fresh sardines. I would highly recommend this hotel. For £22 for a single room I would say it is nigh on unbeatable.

Booked here to get out of our horrible hotel in Albufeira. Check in was fast, room was cleaner, loads of English channels. Slept much better as well. Very close location to the town, 2 minute walk from the train station. Breakfast wasn't very good though, but otherwise was a pleasant stay. Word of warning a taxi to the airport from here is 12-15 euros, better to book a transfer!

We spent 3 most agreeable nights in this Hotel. We arrived at nearly midnight to be greeted in English by the night manager. Very helpful and the bar service was still available, so we had coffees and brandies. Surprise number 2, it didn't break the bank, about the same as in a bar!
Breakfast is adequate with plenty of decent coffee and fruit juice, fruit, bread etc.
Other reviews mention the "cafeteria which is attached/owned by the hotel. We had 3 lunches there ( probably less cost than a "spag bol" in town) 5.50 euros gets you soup, main dish of the day, wine and coffee, all home cooked and very nice too.
The staff were excellent both in the hotel and the cafe - english speaking, pleasant and very helpful.
The hotel is a 5 --10 minute stroll from the town centre which abounds with bars, restaurants and if you are a shopaholic, bargain and fashion clothes shops. Explore the little alleys - you will be surprised by what you find.
Faro is a lovely town and the people match. 19 degrees and blue skies in mid January helped but we will certainly return to Faro and the Sol Algarve.

Room Tip: If you want sun from mid day to sunbathe on the balcony, ask for a room at the front, preferably on...

Very handy for train and bus stations. Easy three minute walk to marina and city centre. Staff speak good English and very friendly. Breakfast had selection of cereals, gorgeous bread with cheese and ham etc. Try the freshly pressed orange juice - pure sunshine! Our room was clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the central courtyard and a view of stork's nests on the church bell towers.
Faro in January had warmth in every sense - not only the weather, but people in shops, cafes, museums all spoke good English and had time to chat.

Comfy room for a stay overnight, allthough it was cold during the night (might be also cause I got sick so got extra fragile).
Very close to the old centre so if you are for the short stay definetly would recommend cause enables you to visit everything in very short time. It has its own garage which is charged extra 5 euros. Breakfast was very basic, if you want bica (espresso) its charged extra.
It is very close to the airport by car only 10 minutes so if you have flight early in the morning u dont need to wake up much earlier.

We flew over to Faro for some November warmth and stayed at the Sol Algarve. We found it very very friendly, it was clean, and it was very good value. Basic breakfast but very fair for the price. There is a nice courtyard to sit in and free wifi. Ours was a good sized room and everything worked. Its 5 minutes walk from the harbour and the station but not in a bar street. We'd certainly stay there again.

Highly recommend. Clean and comfortable. Excellent, English speaking, staff. Having now visited Faro for three holidays this is my favorite hotel. Faro is an excellent place with superb restaurants and a genuine Portuguese feel that I have not found elsewhere on the Algarve.

Room Tip: My room overlooked the inner courtyard, had a nice balcony and was very tranquil.
