If you are in Faro and are tired of the standard food they serve in most of the restaurant then try Baia. Placed in a corner of a square, the restaurant is almost hidden behind the restaurant next door. We found it by a coincidence and was pleasent surprised when it turned out it also had a nice patio. The female chef who also served us (quiet night) recommended that we tried the Baia specials, which was her own recipies. We followed her recommendations and what an experience. Definitely the best meal I've had in Portugal. When also the service was excellent and the red wine very good the overall experience was top score.
