“Great for Cataplana”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2014 via mobile

We had the Cataplana which was amazing. The fish soup and the clams are also recommended. Service is a little bit slow but only because most dishes are cooked to order. Definitely worth the wait!
Staff pleasant and efficient.

“Fantastic food & great service”

Visited this restaurant on our last evening, and it was brilliant. The food was gorgeous & cooked to perfection, the service was quick, but you were not rushed in the slightest.

“So good we went twice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2014

This is a lovely restaurant serving portuguese food. Although busy, we were found a table at short notice on two evenings. The staff were all delightful, friendly and helpful. The tables are very close together but this made for a chatty, informal atmosphere which we appreciated. The food was wonderful and our main courses arrived on huge plates adorned with vegetables and salad aplenty. The tuna in creamy onion sauce was delicious.
I only wish we could find restaurants of this high standard and value back home!

“Good value and very good wine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2014

We had a very nice dinner at Reis in May 2014. The plates of lamb chops were huge and tasty, the staff was kind, and the red wine particularly good.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014

This is a very busy restaurant serving traditional Portuguese food. If you want a table in high season, you must book or expect to wait a long time!
Service is good and relatively quick. My family ordered the monk fish cataplana (serves 2) which is the restaurant's speciality; and 2 sea bass. The cataplana arrives in a traditional cooking pot and is superb, packed full of flavour and is more than adequate for 2 people. The sea bass was equally good, being prepared and cooked very very well. The atmosphere is very pleasant and is a restaurant we come back to year after year. Highly recommended. The cost again is average for Lagos coming out at around 75 euros for 4.
