I booked this hostel last month and they sent me an email cancelling my booking cause they had an inspection and they had to close down the building. They had debit the full amount of the booking from my card anyway, I'm still trying to get my money back but they don't answer my emails or the phone. I wouldn't recommend this hostel at all.

bom dia lamento a situação mas o escape hostel tem nova gerência também nós como proprietários tivemos problemas o estabelecimento não teve qualquer tipo de inspecção foi desculpa dessas pessoas para não pagarem o que deviam, mais uma vez lamento.

When booking at lagos escape try and get in the private rooms. In a different location closer to the beach its a great vibe and the night watchman Paulo is awesome and very helpful. With only 5 rooms in the private housing spot its great for drinking before you head out and cruising during the day (we had a good punch of people in there so it helps) Also fantastic breakfast provided for everyone up in the main hostel.

We were a couple so had one of the private rooms in a different location to the main hostel. Luckily we had the room with an ensuite which included the rooftop terrace. Good kitchen which we shared with two other private rooms. Hostel management were very helpful when our booking got mixed up and were very accommodating. Omelettes for breakfast were very yum!!

Really cool place to stay as its very central yet far enough away from the noise of the bars if you decide to have a night off partying then you can get to sleep ok.
The only noise is in the morning from school kids which isn't great if you are hungover.

My 4 bed dorm room was 20€ which includes breakfast.
There is a cool little courtyard where they serve breakfast each morning. Omelette, cereal, coffee, juice, fruit, yoghurt.

I also got a great recommendation from the guy on reception to walk out to the lighthouse which was awesome! Very friendly staff who were happy for me to store my bag for the day whilst I was at the beach then have a shower before getting the bus back to Lisbon. Awesome.

We stayed overnight at Lagos Escape Hostel on our way to Aljezur. Having read such positive reviews on this forum I was a little disappointed. The hostel admittedly had a prime location, however it was definitely nothing special.

The rooms were cramped, and the sink in the room was broken and leaking. The showers were pretty poor with a urinal placed inexplicably in one of the shower rooms!

The outdoor terrace was a nice place to relax and a good place to have breakfast, although breakfast itself was pretty average.

All in all, it was FINE. Clean enough, good location, decent price, but if I was returning to Lagos I would definately investigate other options.

Great location and service but was quite noisy. If you are the type of person that needs a good shower, I'd steer clear of this place. No pressure and the toilet situation wasnt fantastic.
Staff were really friendly and helpful and would recommend staying here.
