went here based on trip advisor reviews and weren't disappointed. very friendly greeting (didnt book) and we were taken through this tiny little restaurant (only maybe 6 tables?) to our free table. we were slightly put aback when the waiter told us they'd not got any fish... but we'd wanted a meat night anyway, sp were happy to stay. in hindsight its a good sign! they'd run out because they only buy small amounts to keep it fresh - bad weather limited the morning's catch, and everyone that lunchtime had ordered the fish! it shows they care about quality! for starter we shared a sizzljng salami and some bread, butter and garlic carrots. recommend the salami, cooked by yourselves on the table! then we shared a mixed grill which was cooked perfectly (rare steak, juicy evrrything else). couldnt fit in a puddinng, but got two free glasses of Port each whilst chatting away at the end. friendly staff, quality food, good service, nice wine. recommended!

Last time we went to Arribale it was a few years ago and was owned by Marco. It was good then.
Me and my husband read the many reviews and went to Arribale only to find it was fully booked and then booked for 2 nights later. So, booking is a must. My husband ordered the pork and it was the most tender piece of pork ever eaten. We are back again on Saturday night. The food is just amazing and extremely well cooked. This is one of the oldest restaurants in Lagos overlooking the original harbour wall. Well worth visiting and you won't be disappointed.

Decided on this restaurant based on reviews and wasn't disappointed - very homely little place, very relaxed, staff very friendly too. Flaming salami was delish and the steak (size of the moon!) cooked to perfection. My mum enjoyed the catch of the day too. Perhaps the only down side were the desserts, bit pricey for quite a small portion, my key lime pie was very sour and her pear tart quite salty. We were given very nice Portuguese porto to finish off our meal though so left fully satisfied, would definitely go back.

Possibly the smallest restaurant in Lagos with style and character.
Try the earthy liver pate, tiger prawns, fresh fish, tapas. Good deserts and excellent cheese board. Wine list short but adequate selection. Great ambience and atmosphere. Will return.

My husband and I made reservations after reading on tripadvisor that it is recommended. The restaurant is tiny and definitely not fancy, but it has a lot of charm that we enjoyed. They were out of the fresh catch (the table next to us ordered the last one right as we arrived) so we ordered the meatballs and ribs. Both were very good, so good that we are disappointed that we will be unable to eat there again.
I sat facing the grill after reading the review about reusing plates with raw food, that doesn't happen. I don't know if it was an off night or if when the cook wiped the plate and stacked it (I'm not really sure why they do this) the other reviewer thought this was for re-use, but the grill is far from the kitchen and after a few plates were stacked, someone comes by and removes them. Also, they are not stacked near the clean ones.
Great food, delicious "brownie" (more like like fudge), and good value.
