Good service, food was decent and a really cool location. Good place to have a light bite but you may want something more substantial for dinner if that's what you are looking for

Lovely staff, chilled atmosphere, cozy surroundings, delicious food (vegetarian alternatives too) and low prices considering.

Visited twice last week when in Lagos and loved it both times! We went there once on a previous visit to Lagos 3 years back and promised we'd return.

The Place - I just love the chilled relaxed vibe, the atmosphere, the lights, eating al fresco, the chillout area and Bertie the resident cat of course!

The Service - This is one thing that sets the place apart from the rest - the staff have that balance of being laid back and friendly but also attentive and good at their job. They suit the vibe of the place. You instantly feel relaxed as a result. We spoke with the maitre-d/manager (Daniel I think) for a bit, really friendly guy and not French as we first thought despite speaking amazing French to other customers.

The Food - The veggie options were great - ordered the veggie lasagne the first night and the creamy mushroom pasta the second night. My partner loved the BBQ meat plate and liked the koftas.
Negatives? The choc fudge cake was a bit 'meh', not really outstanding, We'd had better, maybe more chocolate is needed? The apple crumble was delicious but needs custard!

The Drinks - Cocktails were the best we had in Lagos, especially for the price (4.95). The white russian x 3 and strawberry daiquiri x 3 hit the spot!

We arrived at the restaurant around 16:30-17 and ordered some drinks and food. An hour and a half later we were asked to move to another table. One more hour later while we still had some food and drinks left, the waiter came to us and said in a very impolite way: here is your bill, cash or card? No offer to change the table or solve the situation in a nice way. The person, who represented himself as Daniel, said: you can write whatever on TripAdvisor or anywhere else, I don’t care. “Just stand up, we need the table” - were his words. We were a company of 3 girls, who have ordered for quite a bit during the evening, and we think that this kind of behaviour is absolutely inadequate. The staff have never heard of such thing as customer service and they were extremely rude. The waiters don’t seem to be communicating with each Other and they kept coming to us every 5 min asking what we wanted to order, after we have already ordered, so It also seemed kind of pushy. The food was nothing special. The appetizers portions are literally tiny, don’t even bother ordering those as you will end up being even more hungry. The grilled meat was ok, spaghetti with mushrooms as well as salad left really much to be desired. The setting was ok, a little bit hippy looking and quite chill and relaxing, but nothing unique, just copied from many other places and not in a best way possible . Just surviving because of people, who might find the setting interesting and forming queues in front of the entrance,so the others also get curios. There are so many other nice places to eat in Lagos- why spend your evening in such a poorly managed place, where the owner doesn’t care about the feedback at all ???!!! Don’t recommend it to anyone and hope to see a different restaurant there when I come back to Lagos.

We don't often feel compelled to reply to reviews as we do feel everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but this one is somewhat baffling.
These customers spent 3.5 hours in the restaurant and their complaint was that they couldn't stay longer so I wonder why they wanted to stay if the experience was so terrible?

The only factual part of the review is that they arrived at around 4.30pm. Most tables during the busy summer period are booked from 6pm, so they asked to move so they could stay and were given a table that was available until 8pm. They said this was plenty of time for them. At 7.45 they asked to stay, so were offered a sofa table. They declined this and said the people who had booked the table 2 days ago should be moved as they were 'special' customers and would be writing on TripAdvisor. At 8pm they were again offered a sofa table, or to carry on drinking at the bar. They declined both, paid and left. The staff were at no point rude, and actually did everything they could to accommodate these customers.
