Nice Beach , reasonable size, but could get quite crowded by midday. Boat trips available to the caves from here

“Beautiful but too busy”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

Whilst this beach looks beautiful and is worth a visit, be warned it is very busy and the water is tricky to swim in because of the amount of rocks under the water.

“How and when to visit”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

If you excep the month of august and last mid july, it's a wonderfull beach to be in. The remaining months are not so crowded and the weather is still very pleasant.
It as a unique sand, greater and heavier than any other beach in Lagos area. The sand here is fixed, unlike other Lagos beaches.
You can have sun until 17h in summer, after that the cliffs cast shadow over the beach. Be aware where you enter the water, some parts have rocks others just sand. And stay away from the cliffs, to avoid the risk of dropping stones.
As for scenary.. it's amazingly beautifull.

“Beautiful”

Loved the beach and surrounding cliff sides and rock formations. It reminded me of home in Aus. Only thing is hope you can handle cold water as it's freezing!!!

“Sardine Beach!”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Looked a lovely beach in a cove, shame it was packed with people squeezed together like sardines! Quite a lot of steps down, not for the faint hearted. It was quite a walk from town too so get a rickshaw or get on the train.
