This place is lovely! We stayed for two nights in June. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The grounds are absolutely beautiful - a botanical garden. The cottage-like rooms are very nice - rustic feel. Breakfast was a real treat. Brought to the room - or outside the room each morning. The food was delicious - fresh tomatoes, ham, cheese, delicious bread, fresh orange juice and good strong coffee. Short walk to beach was easy. We took taxis into town for dinner to avoid having to drive. It would be a long walk into town. You won't regret staying here.

A very beautifull place full of variety of flowering plants. Rich of unique little details. A nice pool... Really fantastic place to relax.

If you arrive without a car, you have to be prepared to do some walking whenever you want to get anywhere else than thr nearest beaches, or then you will have to use the taxis - a walk to the old town is downhill 10-15 minutes, a taxi fare is about 6 euros.

If allergic to cats note the owners have two of those. They wont come inside your rooms, but will keep you company if you are eating at the patios.

What a beautiful place! Surrounded with flowers and a lush garden. A very romantic place to relax and get away. Every morning we received a home cooked breakfast on our private balcony with fresh, local food.

The service and people were very friendly and helpful.

The room was not super big, but we spend most of our time on the balcony or in the garden/pool.

Recommend this place to anybody who wants to discover a little piece of paradise.

Room Tip: We stayed upstairs and had a balcony overlooking the garden and pool.

We just returned from an excellent 3 day stay in one of the most charming accommodations ever, in any country! Our off season rate was only 75 Euros per night (through booking.com) for an entire 1 bedroom apartment. Be aware, through, that the best breakfast we've ever experienced is 10 Euros each. . . a highly recommended splurge. . . of freshly baked breads, cured meats, yummy cheeses, fresh fruits, scrambled eggs and little tarts. . . all brought, course by course to your terrace and served on china, complete with damask napkins.

The unique, picturesque, comfortable "Forno" apartment came complete with a fully equipped small step down kitchen, a cozy sitting room with sofa/chair/small dining table, a huge bedroom with a large fire place and seating area, and a full bathroom with a shower over a big tub. Our lovely large terrace had a table and chairs for dining or just enjoying a glass of wine.

The icing on the cake of this particular accommodation is the villa's original kitchen, filled with pottery and old cooking utensils, is contained in the premises. In fact, the "Forno" is filled will antique furniture, china, crystal, and books, etc. It was more like staying in a guest house of a rich family's home of 100 years ago.

In addition the lush gardens in and around the walkways and pool create a feeling of a tropical paradise. . . and the staff is excellent.. . a most highly recommended place to stay in beautiful Lagos. . . in an excellent location!

Room Tip: The Forno apartment is fantastic!

We spent one night here as part of a 10 day trip around Portugal.
We booked the "romantic room" and slept in one of the most beautiful rooms we've ever stayed in. It was like being in your own cottage. One large room with a round bed, with a shower discreetly built into the corner. Breakfast was brought to our patio. Fresh fruit slices, meats, cheeses, bread, coffee and fresh orange juice.

The receptionist was incredibly helpful. Through the hotel, we had booked a kayak / snorkelling trip exploring the coastal inlets (highly recommended and great value) and fearing that we might be late, the receptionist drove us to the kayaking place. We also made use of the hotel’s swimming pool. Had our plans allowed it, we would’ve stayed longer.
Highly recommended.

I spent 3 nights here and it could not have been more perfect! It's a serene, lovely place within walking distance to a great beach, market, and restaurants. It's not in the "heart" of lagos which is a good thing because it is very trouristy. The breakfast was delicious and delivered right to your balcony/porch. So lovely! The ONLY thing I would say is that the bedding was not the best. The sheets were very coarse- I would have preferred softer sheets but all in all, I would definitely stay here again
