“Worst B&B of the trip”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2013

It looks good in the pictures but was a real disappointment & we could not wait to leave. Stale bread and cold coffee for breakfast. A room full of mosquitoes, damp rooms with no heating, no tea or coffee making facilities, no plug in the sink (I had to wet shave using an old ice cream tub). Hot water took 5 minutes to arrive and the Wi-Fi connection was very erratic,
Very poor - stay away. The most expensive and worst B&B of our stay in the Algarve.

Hello
Fortunately the majority of customers are honest in their opinions others unfortunately are not, you're one of those !
let me answer your statements
The breakfast was offered and was not included in the price, anyway daily bread, croissants jams, coffee and fresh fruit to cereal with iogurt everything was included!
The breakfast was even served aces 7.30 in the morning!
Mosquitoes? maybe some,if will leave the lights on with the door open
Rooms without heating,is not true. All rooms have heating, and air conditioning and fireplace in the living room!
Fortunately we can compare with the most reviews
Thanks for your time anyway
Carlos

We stayed at this lovely escape for two nights and were simply delighted. Casa Belaventura strikes the perfect balance between complete privacy and proximity from major attractions. The hosts were very helpful and kind, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel right at home. Next time we stay longer. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and the home/grounds properly maintained. The owner even let us borrow his bicycle for the day as we made our way up to nearby Rocha da Pena.

Me and my friends found Casa Belaventura online and despite few reviews were inspired to rent a week beginning of July there.
It is difficult to write this review since we are all still very melancholic about our time there and honestly, like probably many others who go there , would like to keep it a secret, so weeks like our week there could repeat themselves, but I promised Mr Carlos I would write this, so here it goes… I’m not going to go on about how gorgeous and clean the place is, how safe, how great a breakfast Agata serves, how in tune with weather and winds Mr Carlos is, but instead what I will recommend about the place is the feeling it leaves you with…like you have just had one of those long lost vacations that were part of your real or imagined childhood, somewhere fascinating and beautiful , full of things to explore and admire.
Like you were suddenly off for a holiday at your rich uncle’s house who sails ships around the world, collects art and knows which heads should stay on which fish. I am pretty sure you will know what I’m talking about by the time your stay there will end. It is rare for a place you rent to create such an impression so I can also guarantee you will miss the hell out of the place. You have been warned.
But there you go, I have promised I will write something.
So. Go there, pay Mr Carlos whatever he asks you. In the end, you will still be in his debt.

Room Tip: Rent anything. Even the garage.

We had a wonderful stay of one week in our little cottage in Casa Belaventura in March. We were lucky, only one day of rain, so we could visit some places like Faro, Tavira or Loule and nearby beaches. Of course, we also stayed at the house, that offers a pool and a terrace with sunloungers surrounded by a tropical green garden. Carlos, the warm-hearted owner, recommended restaurants and spots to see and offered a very good breakfast.

We are two couples living in Marbella, respectively from Norway / Denmark and Venezuela / Spain, visiting the Algarve in January the 25th for the weekend. It was like early spring in Algarve with lots of blossoming almond trees, beautiful and colorful. We found the perfect place to stay on Tripadvisor, good location, and a friendly and warm-hearted host.

We had a bussy weekend, visits to Lagos, Sagres and Cabo de São Vicente and fish for lunch at Vila de Bispo! Two ... to our hosts kind recommendation. Sunday on our way back to Marbella we had a long and nice stay in Tavira, starting with the service in the Church of Santa Maria Tavira.
We may visit again? .. would any weekends or week days in beginning of April, before the 11th be vacant? ..
