This is a great place to stay when in Monchique. Susie is very friendly and has created a charming peaceful haven. Beds were comfortable, our bedroom had a lovely view through the trees, across the valley to the hills. It was very quiet, free wifi in our room. We had a very tasty evening meal, and the best breakfast we've yet had in Portugal. The icing on the cake was a cuddle of the 3 week old puppies born to one of Susie's two lovely friendly dogs.

We were a group of 5 and it was here that we started out on the week long cycle tour . Susie was a fabulous host, and the breakfasts were beautiful- just what we needed - a hearty but delicious breakfast to get us through the day on our bikes. Loved the swimming pool, and really enjoyed the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere at Bica Boa. Loved the dogs too!

Located just outside the commercial centre of Monchique - a hill-town in the Algarve - the Albergeria Bica-Boa is both low-key and full of character. The Irish-born proprietor, Sue, greeted us warmly, and took us to our rooms, showing us the public area and gardens. Along the way, we passed numerous artifacts, including some very fine rock specimens, as well as Tibetan artworks. The rooms are comfortable, and look out over large trees and the hills beyond. The beds are excellent, the bathrooms are very good, and everything is clean and orderly. A very good breakfast is provided - we had ours on the lovely terrace - and included fresh fruit, muesli, an omelette and wonderful bread. The evening meal, which included quite a few vegetarian options, was both tasty and nutritious.
Altogether, a charming place, with a host who will make you feel very welcome. If you are feeling in any way stressed from travel, you will quickly unwind here.

We stayed at Bica Boa for two nights and I must say that it was most enjoyable.
The ambience of the Inn was relaxing and it is very tastefully done in the Portogeuse style.
Food was excellent and the staff were very efficient and fast.he

The owner who lives on the premises is very hands on and great company. A very interesting
lady.

Over all it is an excellent place to relax and the nearby village of Monchique is walking distance. The valley and hills in the surrounding area are very lovely for walking and the views are beautiful.

I would highly recommend Bica Boa to anyone who is interested in visiting the hilltown
of Monchique.

Stayed at Bica Boa for a few nights while on a walking holiday with 'Portugal Walks', was a great end to our holiday, beautifull setting in the peacefull hills of Monchique. Susan our host was a great match for the peacful setting, very calm, always willing to help and good for a chat. Loved the dogs, the nicest ones we met during our holiday. Room was lovely, simple, clean, nice furniture, no clutter. Would recommend Bica Boa for anybody look for a tranquil break.

This is a nice little inn with simple but comfortable rooms. The lady owner was most welcoming as were the other staff. Fantastic breakfast and tasty food at dinner (chicken piri-piri). Dont waste money on the puddings though - not up to normal portugese standards.
