A enjoyed my stay at Memmo Baleeira to it's full. It's a great hotel, minimal decoration, the rooms were everything we expected and more. Loved the spa pool with a wonderful view, that in cold, cold days like that warm our soul.

Wonderful breakfast, wonderful staff, and amazing areas.

The only suggestion would be that the hotel must have robes in the winter so that when we come from the spa pool we don't need do bring our wet clothe dressed.

Congratulations Memmo Baleeira

I went to Sagres again. Again I choose Memmo Baleeira. This time with friends. I love Sagres more each time I go there. This time I found some "secret" places just walking along the cost. The hotel fine as usual. Excelent food, very nice view, sport to book, good SPA, design and clean ambience. I found it nicer then the other time I went there. It's very good to go with friends. Very nice spots to chillOut and have a Portuguese wine!

We have mixed reviews about this hotel. In general, its ok, nothing special but there were a few points that totally let it down. Firstly, we encountered problems when booking and ended up wih a Garden View room. We're easygoing and accepted but the room was small and had a view of the car park. Secondly, all rooms have a balcony apparently....not ours. And lastly, the staff, as a whole were gracious and helpful, so a real shame that those working on reception were rude and unhelpful (by the way we speak portuguese so nothing lost in translation with them). Plus points though are the breakfasts, the cleanliness of the hotel...and actually thats it. So if you do choose to go to this hotel, be aware that a 'Garden View' room varies hugely and you may indeed end up with a glorious view of some greenery and a balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. However, draw the short straw and you'll have a car park view, over the surf shop with no balcony and still pay the same.

Great place for a hang gliding holiday but forget about sitting on the beach or the pool if you don't want your skin blown off. Naff hotel. Gym is a room with 3 pieces of equipment. Pool is like a freezer. And the Spa - well the clocks obviously don't work in there because you pay for 60 minutes but get a very ordinary 45 minutes. Five Euros for room service delivery. And then the food is terrible when it arrives eventually. Stay away. It's cheap because its a rubbish hotel. A giant white box in the middle of a Portugese slum.

We have very much enjoyed our 6 nights at this hotel. It is an oasis of peace ideal for relaxation in a beautiful spot of Portugal. The hotel is perfectly clean and the rooms are spacious and well decorated. The little spa offers a friendly and professional service. The sorroundings are beautifully wild and quiet. The only areas for marginal improvements are the reception (the people there are a little bit lost and although kind are pretty useless in giving suggestions and help) and the restaurant ( a little bit too pretentious. The quality is ok but boring). We will go back for sure.
